They are afraid each ekiokpagha is enacted it says Ogiamen is leasing Benin to the oba not his children when he the oba dies his children have to buy it again. They don't want it. Hence the former Ogiamen disappeared mysteriously. He is feared dead by the Ogiamen who made a police report. The Oba group say he is alive. This tradition is what they want stopped. This treaty gives the oba the right to settle on a foreign soil.

Edo State has many Traditional rulers. The oba of Benin is not the king of Owan, Estako, Esan and Akoko Edo. They should stop misleading the public. Opposite of kingdom is republic. You cannot have a Kingdom in a republic secondary school government una nor pass Kai.

The Ogiamen family is the last Ogiso ruling house that the Oba needs to resign a treaty with each time a new oba is to be coronated because the oba is the son of the Oni Oduduwa of Ife and a stranger in Benin. The former Ogiamen is missing presumed killed by those who don't want the tradition to continue. Now they have rewritten Benin history stating that Oduduwa is a Benin runaway prince and with the past Ogiamen dead no one will counter that. However the Ogiso Ogiamen family reacts by coronating the next in command as Ogiamen . Hence the Ile Binu people are angry fighting the family. Benin history is shameful because one of them Chief Oliha betrayed Part of Benin by helping Oranmiyan invade their own people that is y all benins are slaves of the Oba ( Evien Oba meaning slaves of the Oba) so they must kneel and now before him.
Oba of Benin is a traditional ruler, he should stop parading himself as the number one citizen of edo state. To be frank, I don't see the need or the benefits of the traditional rulers. Ogiamien has a right to the land just like everyone in the land. The oba of Benin made a decision to keep the returned artifacts under his bed to gather dust, so he should stop disturbing the great governor Obaseki.
