Cool this starts off with the classic Romero Day of the Dead. I always wished they expanded that opening Florida city scene, but they said the budget prevented it. Nice list of movies.
You’re right on the money with the 80s having so many post apocalyptic movies and themes. Even TFs, especially in the 86 movie , had the taint of apocalyptic tones.
Spiral Zone has got to be one of the most obscure animated series ever. Every time I try to describe this cartoon to somebody, I get the "you just made that up" response or the look as if I have two heads. I'm from Boston and this show was on during the weekday mornings during my Elementary school days but I was able to catch it during Summer vacation or holiday vacations. Why couldn't these same people do the same?
I wouldn't include 'The Terminator' on this list. The cyborg was sent from a post-apoc future, but the movie takes place prior to the fall of human civilization.
I'd contend that 1984 is already starting to occur right now. If you want a movie kinda like The Road Warrior but with a lot more fist fighting and exploding people then i'd suggest Fist of the North Star. It's an anime movie from 1986 and would fit in well with this list.
“I actually liked the 3rd one the most.” That says it all. Also it’s pronounced BEAN not BANE! And it’s Captain Power and the Soldiers of the FUTURE not FORTUNE! Also why is this ages 18 and up when you have Spiral Zone and Captain Power kids shows?🤷♂️🤦♂️
One of my favorites Cherry 2000 with Melanie Griffith
Mad Max the road worrier is hands down one of my favorite 80s movie. I also like Tom Hardy as the new Mad Max and can’t wait for the sequel!!!
That whole series is great and yes we need a sequel so much!

Seems like the same issue I had trying to catch Captain power. Maybe because they both covered mature themes in a cartoon?
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I only know if Captain Power from those VCR games. Never knew it was a cartoon or show.
Based narration
You could also have put Cherry 2000 on this list.

Kudos for keeping the list mostly non-generic.
Oh Man😱⚠️
This is a Good One 👍🏼‼️
Thanks Glad you enjoyed!
Nice list, feel anime should be mentioned (fist of the north star) , as the MANY Italian post apoc movies.

This anime was always described as "if Bruce Lee was in the Road Warrior". Love this Anime
I have heard of Fist of the North Star but now I gotta Check it out
You missed Thundarr the Barbarian!
What is the name of the last man on earth/mad max movie. It looked like a combination of both.
1984 reminds me of North Korea now.😔
Beyond the Thunderdome
I actually prefer that one the most but Road warrior seems to be the Emipre Strikes back of the series and loved by more fans
Max 1\2\3
Every movie in that series is great!
Cyborg
Van Damme rocks!

I hope we're not nearing this stage of the human era
