not working. there is no " app passwords" after turning on 2 step verification
u can search on search bar for app password it will pop up
Go for security section and in the search bar tap App passwords and you will find it

You probably manage to do it as of now but for those that find this comment just go into -> Manage Google Account -> Type "App Password" on the search bar and the option will pop. Good luck on all your future projects!

Thank you for showing the exact location for where to find the App Password(s). There is ALOT of documentation online that says click on Security and then click on App Password but skips the part where you have to go to 2-Step Verification and then scroll down so it is easy to be confused. Thanks again!
I see that many had the same problem as me, the option to generate the password does not appear.
The solution is to search for the option in the search bar.

If your 2 step verification is off then you cannot see the App password below.

why does the app passwords have spaces? I did this a few years ago and that app password looks completely different. edit: I removed the spaces and it works normally. not sure why they've done it this way.
Actually it's not SPACE, it's formatting.
When you copy and paste, no more space.
@@EdcelleJohnGulfan it pasted with the spaces for me. I manually had to delete them. worked either way though. was just curious why they would do it that way as it's not really meant to be something you need to remember.
