- Happy Friday Drum Nerds, welcome to JUNNA - Painkiller - Judas Priest - Drummer Reacts. Hopefully you're all well where ever you are in the world. As you know, I've been happy to watch and listen to this unreal lady for a while now. Junna gives as much to the drum performance as she does to the visual, in that her energy is hardly matched by many.
She is one hell of a talented drummer and I would greatly enjoy if one day I could be fortunate enough to do a drum collaboration with her! I say it time and time again on this channel, the subdividing in her playing (as well as others I feature here) is superb. It's a beautiful thing to watch and every single bit of kit has been selected purposefully by her.
In that the wooden betters give a nice warm but punchy attack and the ebony head on the snare allows for a deeper and warmer deliverance. The gold hardware is also a delicious added touch!

I'm pretty sure she filmed herself playing in a club to a crowd, which are the cutaways. Mostly these days, she is a studio drummer. I bet a lot of Japanese bands have her playing the drums on their actual recordings.
I really wish there was a video of Haruna's play on the Lovebites cover of Painkiller. I love Junna putting her own touch on this with all of those Ice Bell strikes!
JUNNA looks like a child, but she is a great adult. From her small body comes a tremendously powerful drum roar. She is usually a pretty girl. It's been 5 years since she first saw her drumming and she's still improving her drumming skills. Please check out her other videos. Oh so you’re someone who takes emotionless commentary (from someone who knows what they’re taking about) as personal attacks. I understand now, when you’ve got a drum degree, done a few tours, recorded 5 plus albums and worked in a studio as a session drummer; maybe then some actual discourse can take place (that isn’t based out of emotional biased). Well many does wonder where junna's playing style comes from, she is a big fan of LOVEBITES so her style of drumming comes as a evolved style from that drummer. And her drum fills never does a repeat pattern and her double petal footwork is so unique that I don't normally hear from other drummers. You can listen to the original Judas priest drumming sound total different from our power house junna. But as usual that surprise us as always. And sharing you drum knowledge is never boring Mr Drum nerd keep it up.

Junna is slaying the song of Judas Priest .. Scott Travis beware ! What a dynamite song! Damn girl ! My greetings from Greece man . She has powerful jamming system ! Was in a band called Trident , previous name Kangumei , you must seek for those songs then , she'sa real beast in drums .
Scott was fun to listen to in RacerX as well, quality metal drummer. Junna killed it.

Yeah! Junna is a pure entertainer. Oh, and she just happens to be able to play drums. Ha!Ha!. So cool. I don't play drums, but my love & respect for drums comes from our house being filled with the sound of my son hitting the kit since he was in high school.
Thanks for the little lesson on the cymbals. But also, what you call the Z bell, I've always heard it referred to as an 'Ice Bell'. Is that a generic name for them? Or is it a different manufacturers name for that type of cymbal. Just curious.
Mr Boats, she really is a presenter of joy and skills through and through! I love that your son is playing drums - we need to do a feature of him on the channel next 🤓. As for the cymbal, I can’t say I’ve ever heard it being called an Ice bell, my initial guess would be individual brand labelling but don’t quote me fully on that. You’ve peaked my interest in this ice bell/Z bell quandary and will now be trying to get to the bottom of it 🤓 Be well and happy Saturday.
as a non (yet) drummer I am totally fascinated by Junnas performance. As I am unable to rate her skills I would really like to have a pro give a valuation. Is she "just" really good or an exceptional drummer talent? Either way she is my favorite drummer, so cute, so much energy and awesome talent. I really can share your enthusiasm watching and listening her.

You are so nerdy! However I believe you will take that as a compliment.
It is typical that some people say you pause the video too much. Advise them to go and watch the 'like and subscribe' channels, where the host says fire and makes a few vowel sounds and does not pause the video once. Mindless fodder for the sheep that follow.
I and others learn by watching your video about drumming styles, techniques and drum equipment.

George, so I won't even make a remark about looks, because I'm not an insecure overweight man. HOWEVER I would like to say, the screen size is small enough to keep me not the main focus. When you upload content to your channel, and don't make my video part of your ''music my picks'' then you can film it how you wish.
