Great game. Had me biting my nails the whole time. Steph and GP2 was insane down the stretch. Poole with 8 was the reason why it was a grind out game. If he scored his usual 20 it would've been an easier win. But thank God we got Stephen Curry.

What I notice from the warriors is they tend to turn it on and turn it off according to the situation. That's dangerous when you're up against a team that has their pedal on the gas down 20 or up 20.
The play down to the competition and that's a bad habit to get into.
That's because they rely too much on their outside shooting. If the outside shots aren't going in, then their offense is dead until their shooters find their rhythm. That's exactly what happened in 2019 playoffs after KD went down. They swept Portland in the WCF because they were up against an inconsistent offensive team, but struggled against the Raptors in the finals because Toronto was a team that could consistently produce offensively for 48 minutes.
Even tho this is the warriors big 3 the rest of the team besides looney is a new piece.. its gone take at least another full season to see this teams full potential.

Jokic/Cousins vs Warriors was a fun game. But congrats to the Warriors, they deserved. I feel bad for Jokic, imagine your 2nd best scorer in the series at 14 PPG and still get close to win 3 games. He averaged 31/13/6 on 58% shooting, he clearly couldnt do anything better, he took a team of uber driver to the playoffs, that is why he is the MVP, bc imagine this team without him

Nugget guards lost this one for Denver. For 3 quarters the Nuggets were playing deliberate basketball, slowing the game down, pounding the paint and attacking gsw bigs. Then the guards started shooting contested 3's, reckless drives and went away from their biggest advantage over the Warriors which is size. Coach also took Cousins out too early when he was obviously having a field day over Looney and Green.
Yeah, and as soon as he took Cousins out- Jokic picked up another foul stopping a Wiggins dunk cause someone went to sleep on defense. They should've just kept Boogie in until he missed at least.

Love the Warriors, but the lack of size and rebounding is going to be the biggest problem for them. Both the Grizzlies and Wolves can cause them problems in these areas, especially the Grizz. Warriors can go deep, but the margin of error is very small.

Nobody besides GSW fans are going to acknowledge how clutch Steph was in this game. Yes GP2 hit two huge threes but Steph literally shot them back into the game in the 3rd quarter . Also he made two crucial lay ups. Imo Steph had a certain look in his eyes and demeanor this series . I love when he shootâs the mid range bucket and goes for layups.

Denver at full strength with high performing Jamal Murray and Michael Porter should be a title contender. As a warriors fan, that's disconcerting. The west next year will be even tougher if teams like Denver, Lakers and clippers get healthy. The only silver lining is the reality that good health is hardly a given.

Warriors showed their depth in this win, which is why itâll be so hard to beat them. You can game plan for Steph, Klay and Poole but you canât contain them all. And if you decided to try Payton, Wiggins, Kuminga, Porter are all there to help along the way. And if anything this proved that the warriors could still win with a small ball lineup Jokic and Cousins were great and warriors were still able to win.

@laki9999 I mean you can tell from how the first round is officiated whom the league has deemed the winners. All year they were going hard calling players for jumping into the defense. (Hence why Westbrook had his worst season ever) This series there was none of that. Just watch their next series games. At the end of the day this is a business and whatever is better for ratings is what is gonna happen. Denver has such a small viewership any finals including them would see a drastic drop off.
