Jurard:"you dom'd us for 333 years! I blame you!"
Rosco:"I'LL DO IT AGAIN!"
@@Monte_Carlo451 lol
I mean if Markle can marry into the english royalty, then surely the Philippines can do that political inheritance judo too
Saying they'll do it again is WILD
Our Filipino forefathers never would've predicted that a Spanish person and a Filipino would get along teaching each other slang/swear words, while working under a Japanese company, through an American platform. Lmfao
I want to add another country but I think it's kinda inappropriate 😅
dew it
Rosco is LATAM though. Not spanish afaik.
In an alternate universe, this order of bosses happened exactly. You know, minus the wars xD
He's mexican for sure, not a spaniard
I knew they were gonna talk about this Filipino-Spanish colonization thing LMFAOOOO
Like the mother and adopted daughter 😂
Cannot be avoided
my own country people yearn for that victimhood, they can see it’s leverage against the self-depreciating west.
@@f.b.lagent1113 It is not leverage. It is an excuse and a mentality due to its use. While here it is joke, they will blame the, for not solving their problems
@@comradeofthebalance3147 Leverage can be both offensive and defensive, it’s being used as some sort of “pass” for demanding things towards their target like perceived inherent rights over materialistic assets and submission(over some “generational sin” nonsense), and as you said to offset self-errors or incompetence blaming it partially if not every single thing on others
"Its in your blood".
Rosco is a latino bruh 😂
Yeah and our ancestors are natives and horny spain colonizers so yeah he's right we're majoritarely mestizo
precisely lol, there is more conqueror's blood on people in latam than on people in Spain
Exactly, conquerors' descendants are Latin American people 😂😂😂
fun fact, technically it was mexico in behalf of spain. yes the philippines was once mexican.
@@nitesy381 wasn't more like spain took Philippines then send México to defend it from japanese send by Portugal?
Jurard bringing up the 333 years is me every time I speak to my Spanish friends lmao

@@Kenaashisa they count, the Spanish ruled the Philippines through Mexico.
FR THO HAHAHAHSH
Everyone on the Hispanic Alliance to hate on Spain.... Yes it's the only thing we agree on besides hating Disney.
@@itcaboi1707 The thing is in a sense doesn't count since Méxican was not the ones who did it. It was the spaniards from spanish that did it. There is a difference between Latam countries and spain. Spain was the one who did the colonizing.

Yep, but I'm not ashamed in this country. Our Culture&Passion in music is lit, Corrupt Officials can go to hell.
RE: "Puto" and "Puta"
While technically you can use both in their original spanish form, the reason why "Puto" specifically was turned into food is because of India.
Their word for (a specific dish of) Rice cake is "Puttu", which when put through many many centuries of Tagalog translation replaced the prostitute meaning because the food version of the word was much more used.
Addon: Puta and putangina are basically a 1:1 translation of bicc and sunuvabicc respectively.
@@ZephyCluster ohhh! i didn't know "puto" came from india, ngl I grew up thinking puto is such a cute name for the many variety of rice cakes.
I did not knew puto is a food until now, in Spanish is an insult
Putangina is a shortened word for puta ang ina mo, if translated your mother is a wh*re.
Putangina mooo i love this insult!
Putu in Indonesia is a steaming hot cake (similar to Puto, but this one have some pandan sauce as their natural green color), usually, it's filled with some brown sugar paste and sprinkled with shredded coconut flakes
Jurard: Fail
That's it officer. He confessed to being a boyfailure!
"WE CANT FIGHT! OUR GOVERNMENTS ALREADY CORRUPT!"

"Our Government is already corrupt. We cannot. " 😭👌
I’m Mexican and Filipino so this entire exchange was just hillarious 😂
When You think about it Mexico City was capital of the Philipins during the Spanish rule XD
@@Alaryk111 it was loool. I did research on the interactions between early Colonial Mexico and early colonial Philippines. Turns out both of my people have been interacting for the better part of 500 years.
@@InuSocialsI have some friends on discord that are Philippine, people from there tend to show up when a streamer speaks Spanish. Culturally we consider them cousins.

@@guilguis4820 somehow jurard and mousey did a collab and indirectly curse each other. 😂
Just incase it’s not clear enough, yes he knows rosco’s not spanish (spain), jurard said it multiple times, he’s just doing it for the bit of “spanish speaking” = flashbacks to being colonized and shit.
Well, the Philippines was under "New spain" (Spanish latin american colonies) on behalf of Spain. Soooooo yeah, it was the Latinos that Conquered us.
It's uhhh... A bit touchy for the Latinos actually... We tend to not bring it up to get along... Its uh.... Not really something we joke unless it's for the meme weapons.
Gone wrong? Bruh, this is culture exchange done right
Exactly!! people laughing at the silliness of the past with no genuine grudges and ill-will. Its warm and wholesome.
Cultural Exchange at its Finest😅😂
Jurard: I know, I know, it's in your blood
Well, technically...
@@SpookyTree255 its all in our blood, lots of friers bestowed their holiness on the people they colonized 🙃🤣
Vod survived this one lmao
mistaking a latino for a spanish, dang that's crazy but also really funny lol
im suprised jurard didnt do that to mouse.
I mean we are like second cousins but yeah no a Spaniard is a Spanish citizen
Well, it was actually the Latinos that conquered and occupied us as the Philippines was under the jurisdiction of "New Spain"(Spanish Latin American territories which Mexico was a part of) on behalf of Spain.
@@ErikPTthat's the distinguishing thing between each Latino, we just use the thing to refer to general groups but everyone is proud enough of their nationality due to independance from Spain.

I love Disco Elysium man...FUCK! *groans in whiskey*
The VOD somehow survives that. Crazy 😂
Jurard: "ive tasted it before"
Also Jurard: "Ive never tasted it before"
😂
It's relatable because I'm Jamaican and my friend, he's British. In Jamaica, we have a Christmas dish called Christmas Cake/ Rum Black cake. Around this time I made it for him and he made figgy pudding. He said " oi Lucy you copied me. It taste similar." ( It didn't taste the same but we just cook similar because we have been close. ) I said " Nah you colonized me, I made it better." Yes puto in tagalog means a sweet rice cake, we usually eat it as a snack in the PH.
Puta is a cuss word / an insult.
Pito in tagalog can mean either the number 7 or a whistle used in sports depending on how you use it in a sentence.
Asado is shredded pork / chicken meat with sauce that is commonly used in siopao / steamed bun
and 2 of many indonesian dialects have pitu & petto' that also mean the number 7. those dialects are from my mother's & father's side of family respectively
And puti means white HAHAHA

05:34 as a mexican, I can relate... they were here for 300 years as well and they sure did A LOT of non-romantic conquering.
Also, horchata is indeed a great drink... but there is a slang meaning to that word as well.
Just realised, Mexico and Philippines were colonies about the same time but Mexico was longer I think
@@worminaround It's 300 yrs for Mexico, Philippines is 333 yrs.
@@a.e_man78789 how come Mexico kept spanish language while the Philippines only kept some words
@@h0zumi I could be wrong so if anyone knows the right answer correct me please!
I think it’s because shortly after Spain stopped colonizing, USA came into the picture and pushed for English to be taught instead of Spanish.
@@Louriii yah, English later became the second predominant language in the country. Philippines then adapted Filipino (used interchangeably to pertain to it's citizens and as a language) as it's national language. It's a language that uses Tagalog as it's main backbone, with some English and Spanish mixed into it. Taken into account also that there are about hundreds of ethnic groups in the archipelago with their own unique ethnic language. Suffice to say, Philippines is a multi-lingual country. 🤓

I was wondering how long it would take for the Puto conversation to come up LMAOOOO glad to see the cross cultural exchange went so well 😂😂😂
The rice water drink is called Am in the Philippines but it's just rice water and sugar. When you cook rice on a pot, you add extra water. Then once it boils, you collect that water then add sugar. It's good. It's my childhood fave.

Fun fact: México was never a Spanish colony. It was treated as part of Spain and all the people treated, for all intents and purposes, as citizens of Spain under the protection of the Spanish crown.
