- Here's why you don't trust games anymore.

Gaming in today's landscape is a minefield of disappointment and frustration with those that provide us the games we love to play. For many years they have twisted and conformed into an abomination resembling nothing in which we, the consumers, fell in love with in the first place. But is there anything we can do? It may already be too late...
A few clips are taken somewhat out of context to get some of my points across. I hope you can forgive me.

I have truly found the most under-rated CZcams channel, have a sub good sir.
Don't preorder anything, ever, I don't care if it's your child, just don't. Trailers are ads, watch a playthrough before our buy, no cuts, straight gameplay. Don't be hyped, Be informed and you will not be disappointed, well... at least not poorer and disappointed. Remember what they did to your favorite fandom and hold a jilted, hateful grudge, or embrace pragmatic apathy.
Battlepasses and live services are the worst invention the gaming industry ever made. Not even DLCs and expansions are that bad, it's astonishing how people keep buying them and it's even crazier when they don't even give good stuff because the actual good stuff is sold separately. I honestly started enjoying videogames again once I stopped buying games from big triple A studios and just started buying and keeping up to date with indies. Big productions are not worth it anymore, they are just scams full of problems and cut content. Don't preorder, don't buy DLCs, don't buy battlepasses and don't buy skins, that's the only way we can effectively change things.
Modern games suck. Companies and mega corporations hate the fact we play older games. So they are trying to remove those older titles by "remastering" them. Don't the new garbage anymore. Play the classics and enjoy the older games
A lot of effort went into this video! Thank you to all who watched!
You don't trust games because you've been playing only AAA games. Try out some indie games some time, like Pizza Tower or Trepang2?
Pin this for good luck in 2024🔅
I watched the entire video just to find out what happened to our wife. Bro WHERE IS SHE???
Helldivers 2 battle passes don't expire either. And you can easily earn enough Super Credits in the game.
Cyberpunk has got to be one of the worst launches of all time. Ever since then I've been extremely cautious of a game on release.
To say this video is a diamond in the rough is a massive understatement.
That's crazy because I've always pinned Destiny as a crucial moment in the start of the piss poor practice of releasing unfinished games. It was happening before, but for a game so popular and hyped... yeah.
I really just think it boils down to greed. Haven't you noticed the best games typically come from the companies that start small and are not over-managed by larger ones (ahem, Blizzard -> Activision). It's pretty simple: if a company is too focused on profit, they'll lose focus on the beauty and fun of the game. It's also unfortunate because some game developers want to work on a game with all the passion of their being, but they are over-managed by deadlines and expectations, hindering their ability to implement their creativity into a game.
Try Indy games for a change. Ultrakill is hellishly fun, doesn't crash, doesn't overhype itself.
People: I can't wait to play this game on release!!
Meanwhile old gamers like me still maintain an active SNES NES and other consoles. Working XP and 7 Rigs to play the Hoards of Classic games you don't need Network connections for Or we know a guy who can set up a server to let us play connected... Even better if you ARE That guy....(I am NOT That guy 😮💨) Diablo 2 and Halo 1 for the PC along with C&C Generals zero hr are still fun games even now. And Hell I still have a working copy of Tetris, Metroid and the Original Metal Gear for the NES No Emulator. The KEY to all this happiness and fun?..... Lots of Long hours of physical labor a drinking problem and zero social life with breathing humans. D'OH!!!
Personally, I think it's not exactly a gaming issue, but a mindset one.
I definitely feel that. Yesterday I didn’t want to play any of the twenty or so games on my library, went to the store page and scrolled for like 15 min, didn’t feel any interest and just ended up watching CZcams instead.
I agree and the most interesting thing is that it is becoming normalised. By players themselves! Its like people like eating shit or smth. They tell you to lower your expectations because the companies are looking for profit only. However i think these people basically justify those shitty schemes. Or many actually get excited with an upcoming game that obviously is going to be trash, or unplayable on release, then there is a wave of disappointment, arguments in comments, critique videos and the history repeats itself all over again. Every industry is supposed to have standards and innovative ideas in order to be competitive and improve products with every new release to appeal the audience in the long run, however those games that come out today are buggy and badly written.
I think you need to ask the opposite question: How is it that SO many people randomly pre-order garbage? Say, 10 years ago I remember the majority of my friends always waiting with buying things to know if it was good or not. And now it seems like people are just being hooked by trailers instantly. It is ridiculous and it's killing the entire industry.
