How can we relearn how to feed themselves, coexist and defend themselves in the wild?
This film introduces us to a unique story where the destiny of monkeys mixes with that of men.

Wish there were wayyy more of these documentaries I could watch them for days!

Releasing monkeys or chimpanzees or gorillas from cages into the wild has always been disastrous. Most of them either all die soon or they are killed by their wild counterparts or they die because they don't know the way and customs of living freely in the forest. So this work has been proven many times to be futile
😢
Exactly
Well, if you asked the animals. I'm sure they would say it better to die FREE than in a brick box.
People, people folks just can't please you. Most cry release them, let them be free.Well, these folks are at least TRYING. Of course, there will be causality .Yet those who survived will be toughened up and won't be taken out like that again.just wait .It's better to die free
@@delphine88313would you rather die starving in the forest or a slave to the government?
Derek, being the only male on the island with six females, he is the man!
Lucky Guy!!!
Those people are so humble and good💗
Excelente trabajo
Can we really train chimps to be wild again? Humans are domesticated after all.
Deforestation there not getting a variety of plants needed to keep them healthy .some important plant are missing.seasonal fruits.
Awesome documentary! Truly enjoyed watching and learning about the behavior of the Chimpanzee troops and their relationship with the researcher and her team. Thank you for sharing your research with us. The baby is an adorable girl. It’s amazing how the mother and her offspring spend years together until the adolescent matures and is ready to start her own journey in the wild habitat.
I’m not sure how long ago this was filmed but, chimps can swim I’ve seen them swim in Florida you just have to teach them. So I guess in the wild no they can’t swim but, I bet if they had to they could they are smart enough to figure out how to doggie paddle like the Florida chimps. I mean there are a few Orangutans that learned years ago on one of the release Islands in the rainy seasons and she only had one arm and half of the other thanks to poachers🤬. I think her name is/ was Kessie.
Florida chimps?????
*_You can teach a chip to do just about anything but that's in captivity! Wild chimps can't swim !!!_*
What chimps are you seeing in Florida?
merci😉
The first guy to be attacked may have been because of his facial hair. All the other males are clean shaven, he is the only one with facial hair.

Merci beaucoup pour votre aide
God bless you all family ❤
6 of the 8 males released were killed by wild males ;( the film reports we'll theybdied living free.Yeah , I guess. I cannot imagine the terror before death. ;(
Find a park with no wild chimpanzees at least more would survive
I love wildlife animals 😉
very good animals
Can’t believe how hard those jobs are.
Dorky ponytail dude got his butt kicked 😂😂😂

Sadly captive Chimpanzees can be taught a lot by humans, on how to survive and feed themselves in the wild, but: not how the tribal politics of wild apes function. Nor can they learn the savage side from us that will serve as self defense when needed. Wild chimps go to war when resources are scarce. Pressure from deforestation and human encroachment insures that scarcity. Even in a protected environment like Monkey World in Dorset England, introducing new apes into established groups is frought with danger. On top of that, all these animals are severely traumatized by their human capture from their wild families. Making reintroduction to wild relatives nearly impossible in these high pressure environments. This is an admirable ambition here, but chances of success are low for especially males, to succeed being reintroduced in the wild long-term. Then there is the threat from further human predation in these chaotic countries.

Smart they don’t trust strangers
Still today we have the white expert looking on as all the black people do the hard work lol
I'm sure there's plenty of work to go around. If you look for something hard enough you'll usually find it.
The white guy that git attack by the chimpacee was si mad😂😂 do he tough he was visiting angel animals he kbiws the are wild animal
he looked, acted like a complete fool.
I think some of it is the hair on his faces and glasses. But chimps are brutal.
Cosi anche i piccoli non saranno mai selvatici
I am not impressed with this medical team.
