both speakers are great. but its not fair to match between boombox style and party box speaker. and it is sealed vs ported..
Bigger speakers always going to sound better. I own x20 also great speaker but you ain't got to beat that JBL with bigger woofers
Not always the case that a bigger speaker sounds better.
X20 Paid $240 and have it sitting above my monitor...love it!
I’m definitely a JBL fanboy, but that wking x20 is something else. I bought one to try out, can’t wait to give it a go.
Its a beast for its price! Custom it with eq to see the true power of that speaker
I ordered the X20 and it arrives tomorrow. I have two Encores that I know will be better sounding, but this is for my bathroom and I can set the X20 on top of the toilet tank. My Encores are sitting on the floor on each side of the toilet. I'm willing to sacrifice a little sound quality for the convenience of 1 X20 speaker. It's a bit of a pain to turn both Encores on and pair them in TWS every time I want to have a listen. But if the Encores are very noticeably better, I'll put up with the inconvenience and I will keep them and return the Wking. I'm hoping the X20 surprises me.😅

It's my throne for sure. 🤣 And I crank it loud. Even the toothbrushes and light fixtures rattle with the deep bass.
Just an update on my X20. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound anywhere near as good as even a single Encore. Put up against two encores, the Encores crush the X20. So the deuce Encores will stay by my side while I perform a deuce... 🤣

Is it just me, or is the bass boost on the X20 center frequency set too high? Seems like it's centered at 70-80HZ, when it should be centered at 45 - 50. It muddies up the mids considerably.

As a JBL fanboy I admit that the w-king’s are soo good speakers.
For me the worst speakers of JBL are the pb’s 110 and 1000

JBL makes some great portable speakers. For me at least, the Pulse 5 is a big let down.

Sounds like you might need to turn up the 30hz on the wking
If you saw the settings I had for this, the 30Hz is already boosted up quite a bit.
