I’ve never seen her perform that song live neither but it’s a hit 4 sure. & I think it would have done better as a single than “ tell me can you dance” I do remember hearing “summer love “ on the radio back in the day. So here’s the hot tea according to her tv one unsung episode …..they (laface records)were pressuring her to go for a more sexy image. ( I.e. showing more skin) However, due to her strong church upbringing she objected & when she didn’t bend they(laface) stopped all promotion for her album.looking back …. Laface was the ideal choice for any up & coming artist so I thought that Shanice being a veteran in the industry at this time withh hits under belt would get the respect & necessary promotion that she deserved. Unfortunately that wasn’t the outcome.😢
