This is Ed's wife Alisha your videos are great and we have been to Milos which we love and named our cat Milos, Paros, Santorini and Mykonos twice we spent a 1/2 day in Naxos but we want to get back there too. Now we have this island on our to get to list. What month did you visit? We prefer May but wasn't sure how the weather is on this island in May. We try to avoid the crowds on the islands and we aren't fans of really hot weather either. We love to do hikes too and really aren't sit by the beach people all the time so if you have any other island suggestions we should consider please let me know. We love the energy of Mykonos but not the prices. We do enjoy some nightlife too. Thanks for putting this together. Blessings

Thanks Alisha! We tend to visit towards end of August/ early September when there are a bit less tourists. Sifnos definitely ticks the box for scenic hikes and great food and also a great island for pedestrians (there are no four wheelers like the other islands). The restaurants open for the season around May time so you should be fine then, the island will look very green at that time (much drier after the summer). It may be a bit cooler and windier than later in the year but also much less touristy at that time. We also tried Milos and Santorini which were nice, but didn’t find the exact same laid back atmosphere as Sifnos. Some other islands which may be similar but which we haven’t tried yet: Paros and Antiparos, Naxos and Kimolos. Thanks again and good luck planning your holiday!! 🙋‍♂️Alex

Thanks for the lovely, helpful video! What are your thoughts on visiting in early April? Will restaraunts be open? And bus routes will still be active, even if not as many numbers as the high season?

Thank you so much for the kind comment Michael! Most beach restaurants open from May time but some in the main city of Apollonia may be opened a bit earlier in the year; many restaurants also have their own Instagram account where they will post their updates as to when they are opening for the season. As to buses: I have linked the bus website here (sifnos.gr/en/transportation-bus-timetable/), there will be some but less frequent than during high summer and their timetables might revolve around school hours. There are also some taxis (not as many as in the bigger Cycladic islands) which you could book either directly at the port of Kamares once out of the ferry, or otherwise in advance via your hotel so you don't have to wait for the bus from Kamares to your destination. Have a lovely time in Sifnos! 👍⛱

I loved your 2 vieos of Sifnos, thank you for your work: super professional, excellent filming, editing an effects, beautiful views, drone shots... and the narrator voice is great, so pleasant to hear. Furthermore, you concentrate all the content in short videos (most of the people tend to do a long ones explaining ALL their vaccation). Efgaristo! One thing I personally missed is to see... Greek people! Local life, greek faces... But ok, I guess you are focused on nature, hikes, snorkeling, etc. Amazing job! Nice to see Sifnos again. Last september I was there and I did a hike from Vathi to Platis Yialos with Anna from Sifnos Hiking. It was about 35 year ago that I was in Sifnos the last time. Now I come back in may 2024 for 2 weeks. It is a very nice island and I like your video’s

Indeed! I didn't have any similar shots for Faros hence had to use the Plati one to fit the storyline - good spot!
