The first time I ever went into a casino and played the slots was back in the late 70's in Laughlin. I put $20 in a $1 denom machine and on my 3rd pull I hit for $100 and was hooked, Lol back then $100 was a lot of money!! This was before all bells and whistles and multipliers simply bars and cherries. I love Laughlin, haven't been in over 10 years but left there $1,000 richer the last time I was there. Great win you guys, I know this is an old video but I just came across it and wanted to comment anyway.

jdoggestyl I just didn’t know it was a thing. I mean if the person was taking care of you all night that would be one thing but if the person just comes to give you the money I couldn’t give them 860. That’s a bit much.

Your answer to rkrause957 question about the IRS was "By paying your taxes." Pretty sure he/she meant who from your group gets to pay the taxes since the casino most likely won't create 5 separate W-2G forms for you. Do you take turns? Otherwise, congrats.
As I was a former manager who paid big jackpot. No only on person can claim jackpot in a casino It is usually the person who initiated the jackpot who get to claim it

Nice handpay, but I really hate playing single-line slots. I typically see so many variations of wins if multiple lines while were available and it drives me nuts
Don't they take tax out of $8640? U just cash out $8640, is not going to pay u anymore! U should have cash out the $198 put in another machine!
CT I have found as long as you are a U.S. citizen and provide your SSN and ID you will get paid the full amount. I've gotten many W-2G's over the years and never once had any casino withhold for taxes (my largest single win was $25,000 back in May 2006). But you do have to claim the win when you file your tax return the following year and may owe taxes depending on the total amount won.
@@walden420 - I heard u can claim on your tax u lost all the money back? I know some people who gamble win big but lost it all back to the casino!
@@CTROCK Yes you can claim any losses against any wins to reduce or even eliminate any tax liability but you have to keep a log of your session wins/losses and itemize the deductions on the tax form. (Many casinos will track your wins/losses in detail as long as you use your players card, but I still suggest you keep a log especially if you go to a lot of different casinos, use a friend's card sometimes, etc.)

Congrats on the Jackpot to all of you who participated. And what a great attitude you all have. You seem like nice people. These types of machines are the best. Because there are no bonus rounds etc, just straight slots. Also, Laughlin is the best for slots. I hear the machines have better odds due to their location. Laughlin is quite a bit out the way but so worth it. Laughlin only has one beach and it's at Harrah's but you have to be a guest at Harrah's to use their private beach. They rent Jet Skis and other water toys. Our best jackpot there was $20K and $4K many years ago when money had a higher value lol. All then Hotels seem to be great. You gotta love Laughlin. Out of the way, but worth the drive.

I once won on a 12x in Petoskey Michigan at Odawa. I incorrectly stated on another comments section it was a 10x machine, but it was a 12x. Anyway, I was playing quarters, and got, from left to right, a 12x, 12x, and a green or red 7. I can't remember the color. But it amounted to like 11,000 quarters, give or take. So I left that day with over $2,500.00!!! Who sez the Indians are the bad guys!!!!!!
