You hit the right chord Iggy, we have plenty of natural resources such water, sunlight all year round, a climate that is conducive to year round farming, plus and most importantly, cheap and abundant labor, but we are the least food producing country in South East Asia!!! Why??? I have the same thought as well, and I’m sure there are a lot Filipinos who think the same. You struck the patriotic chord in us, its about time for a change… and by the way, typhoons are not a problem according to Iggy, you just have to deal with them, which is true. DA TANKS should be built with a slope such that during harvest time, water pumps could be used at the lowest portion of the tank to drain out most of the water to another empty sloping tank. It would be easier to scoop out the harvest when all pooled together at one spot.
