Man, Mat and Tim know there stuff! I had a tray of chatter baits since they where created and only fished them once or twice, because I didn’t believe they worked. I damn near gave them all away! I watched the Tactical Bassin’ video regarding chatter baits and applied what was taught, now I’m a certified chatter fanatic! Can you please do a long form video like this going over BOTH of your top pick for combos (Rods + Reel) for EVERY TECHNIQUE? all in ONE VIDEO even if it's 2 hours like this one??? This info would be extremely valuable as well! A lot of us dig through your videos to see what Rod and Reel combos you are using. It's a great starting point to branch out from. In a few of your High End Combo videos you have some lists in the description, but there is no real explanation as to why you picked that particular rod and reel combo. A long form all in one sitting video going through every technique and every combo pairing would be awesome! Especially heading into the Holidays. You could even do two videos, one for the High End, and One for the budget angler. Just an idea. Cheers!!

Jigs, football head jigs for the bottom, swim jig for middle top an bottom column of water depending how you hold rod. Kvd splash or buzzbait when water is stained with moderate or light water current with moderate to light wind. Drop shot for mid column. Then a standard swim style lure that looks like a fish for top middle or near bottom water column. Finally a belly weighted offset hook with a center pin lock for near top toward bottom or middle column of water. Letting lure fall 2 to 3 seconds holding rod at 10 o'clock position for just 12 to 14 underneath water. Or 4 to 5 seconds to let weighted offset hook to sink to mid column. To find these types of hooks just go to Amazon an look up fish hooks. These hooks will have center pin screw lock to put nose of soft plastic lure that has a weight at the mid point of the hook. Football head jigs for very bottom. Other lures mentioned such as a swim jig an a swimming jig head or a weighted offset hooks can be fished in different water columns. Then last but not least a fluke or mag draft on a weighted offset hook mag draft is best used when it's colder or using a slower presentation under pressured water. Typically what I've done that works for me

But I still got hooked on the swimbait game and primarily because of guys like you and Tim, and TW always being on top of the latest trends and how they work with guys like you two to put this information out there for all of us. There’s a channel called KeepinItRealFishing and he’s a NJ angler who primarily fishes for big bass . He’s also hooked on the swimbait game. He’s proof that even up here in the North East this information is still very useful. We may not get those 10-15 lbs but there’s plenty of 6-9 that are worth chasing. I just wanted to add that as far as bluegill baits go you really should add a Gan Craft S-waver to the arsenal. It is a really slept on bait and for people who fish places where bluegill are the main forage it kills it. It can be insane in ponds but works in any body of water. It is not a big bait so you can use almost any rod to throw it but it still gets the big bites. If you really get dialed in with it you can get it to glide off 2' or more so you can get a huge wide glide from it if you want.
Jackall Dowzswimmer and Gan Craft Ratchet are really a bass magnet if you can those in the states!

I don't own a swimbait nor have I even considered it because I didn't want to spend the money it takes to make it work properly, because I don't get to go fishing enough to justify it. I use kvd splash or buzzbait for top water. For mid column a drop shot or a bobber with 14 to 16 inch line with smoked shad or ribbon tail on a baitholder. Finally a square bill for lower column of the water. Also used Gillys on an offset hook with a screw lock pin. I had no luck with the Gillys so I went smaller to see.

During late fall use at least 24 inch leed line where weight is on a drop shot try using a 3.5 shad bait. Zootoo is great but it's generally a natural color smoked shad. Use a quality attractant that's shad scent to lure fish spray generously let sit for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute
That's totally amazing when you spoke about the trout eaters! Snook are big time saltwater trout eaters and also follow the same shady cover majority of the time. The 10a-2p pattern sounds and makes sense for Snook as well. I strongly believe more larger Snook eat more trout that fisherman catch.
I really enjoy these longer more in depth videos though especially the ones that have my favorite technique like swimbaiting and BFS

Caught my first 4 big softbait fish in Maine using the RTF Savage Gear (2 smallies at 4# and 2 Largie 5 and 6# class... I eventually casted my only 3 big baits off and had a bigger one break me off while trying to yak flip her (I'm addicted now!) THANK YOU GUYS for showing me a way to gain confidence to throw these baits in my home state where bass don't get 'giant' haha a few 6s and now I'm hunting an 8!!! Awesome cadence suggestions!

Today was my birthday so I went and got a new got a new shimano SLX swimbait rod and paired it with a shimano 150xg curado DC. It’s my first “not budget” combo so I’m hoping to love it!!!
