This songs makes me cry so much. A guy that I’ve been talking too for more than a year now - funny thing is we met by accident too - lives almost 11.000 km away, his country can enter in a war anytime, and the financial crisis in his country is not helping at all as well.
We have promised that we’ll see each other and make up for the time lost countless times, we just don’t know when this will happen, the current world conjecture is very uncertain. Being apart from him gives almost a physical pain, if I lose him, I don’t know what I would do without him, I love him

I cried evertime i listen to this song.
I am the quite type and never really expressed my feelings to anyone even to my family ...and when my dad passed away due to cancer..i was a wreck.. I couldn't eat well.. Cried myself to sleep.....and took a year off from my studies.. . And thats when i my causin gave me a puppy...mypup was the light that guide me out of the gloomy place...idk how to express this... He was just my whole world.. ..he was my everything... And i kinda started to be more outgoing and able to express myself... But after just a year and a few months my dog passed away too...its been hard and the first verse of this song speaks to me so much♡

I love that Brandi Carlile can recognize how beautifully Adele completed this song and actually promoted it on her channel. She cares about her music and the cause behind the songs. I've listened to both versions and I absolutely adore Brandi's voice and Adele's version. So happy to see that more people are starting to know of her, she makes beautiful music that touches your heart and just stays with you. I'm thankful for people who are strong enough to support others in need. You are amazing and I hope that never changes.

Damn, I just found this song again and haven't cried in such a long time. This and Make you feel my love were the two songs a once close friend of mine shared back in middle school. This hit me harder than I should have since I let that bond go after being scared to admit my feelings for her and running away from it. When I lost my dad in 2020 unexpected in his sleep this song (Cover) brought me so much comfort as it as for years but with a new painful meaning because the last time I saw my dad in person was in August of 2019 when we indeed dropped him off at the train station and waved goodbye for now but it sadly turned into forever ❤️🩹 I felt beside myself for months and sometimes still do because he kissed my head and said I will be back soon sunshine! A it all felt so casual and normal because no one thinks they will lose their dad at 53 myself being 20🥺 I miss him daily and still can’t believe it’s been two years this April without him❤️🫂 RIP dad I hope your proud💔

My favorite composition of Brandi Carlisle. And there are plenty I love that she has done. Very happy she had this album of accomplished artists doing covers of her work.
Of course, we had no doubt that Adele was going to do justice to ANY tune put in front of her. There are a few others that covered Brandi’s tune pretty cool, too.
If Adele covered a song of mine I'd lose my mind! She's such a talent with tons of offers a day begging for her to take notice... yet she chose Brandi on her own. Amazing.
