I had a difficult time deciding what type of regalia I wanted to graduate in, but I decided on a ribbon dress. I am San Carlos Apache from AZ, and we have our own style of dress, but it takes so much fabric, its very full, and my graduation gown looks a little weird over the dress. You have helped me so much with pattern drafting. I will graduate in a dress that is more modern and contemporary but still indigenous. I will also make my own shawl to go with it. I am just using mine for fitness purposes. I do not plan on dancing in powwows anymore. If I did it would probably be cloth or traditional due to arthritis :/

I LOVE your videos! Im just starting to sew. My family has 9 girls, 8 have regalia and im attempting to Make. A fancy shawl outfit for one who doesn't have one of her own yet. The skirt part I think I can handle. It's the top that im Kind of worried about doing. Patterns frustrate the crap out of me 😂😂🤦🏾♀️

Awesome, great video, I’m still considering making just a shawl to dance with at home, I want to use rainbow colour with black and copper ribbon, if I do make a dress the zipper will go in the front lol because it’s gonna be hidden by the beaded vest, can you please do a fancy shawl dance video
