Thanks for an honest evaluation of your experience with the kindle paperwhite reader, somewhat surprises at the overheating issue & screen scratching but these are important points. Mahalo
I got my kindle just a month ago and i love it! for the ads, Amazon removed it for free for me so if anyone who is considering getting it and doesn't want to pay the $20, you can just contact customer service and you tell them you're a loyal customer, they'll remove the ads for free
I actually did this and I was on the phone with customer service for over an hour but the lady was confused and wouldn’t give it to me for free 😭
I absolutely love my kindles. I got a kindle keyboard in 2011, yes, 2011. I’ve been a huge fan since. That one was larger and didn’t have a backlight. I upgraded in 2022, 11 years later. My 2 cons are I wish it was a little smaller. There are smaller ones but they don’t have warm light. And I wish that audiobooks would follow along with the book and read it to you like it does on my iPad. Otherwise, you can listen to audiobooks with ear phones but no Apple products, which is what I have.
I'm so close to buying one, but I'm mad that the 20% trade in discount won't apply to the kindle W/ 3m of KU. So I'd save 30 dollars, but have to pay 35 dollars for KU for 3 months. The discount only works for them if it's without KU (even though they're the SAME exact price)
Dang I didn’t know about a trade in discount! That’s upsetting you can’t use it for the kindle + KU :/ I guess you get KU for 3 months for $5, silver lining lol
@@jasminewhelan It’s 11.99 a month, I’m not eligible for a promotional price. I usually buy a “6 month bundle” so it saves about 1 dollar each month. Used to be 60 for 6 months but they raised that too. (Now 66) But I DID buy one with the discount because I asked for KU 6m for my birthday in a few days so might as well save the money lol
have you tried contacting amazon customer service about it? They might be able to make an exception and help you apply it!

Is it good for reading at dark?
Yeah it’s pretty good! You can toggle between dark and light mode and change the brightness so it’s not hard on your eyes.
