The Fiat Bravo brings some flair to its class - along with strong diesel engines and decent refinement. It looks stylish, and is cheap to buy and run.
The ride and handling disappoint, build quality is below par and rear vision is poor. To cap it all, depreciation is heavy.

Incredible car indeed. What a shame corruption has crept up everywhere in journalism.

I stopped reading car magazines years ago when it was clear they all suck off VW, BMW etc. Too much money invested into selling cars so journalism too open for corruption. Seconds into this video and they call the 1.4 gutless? And a basic VW Golf isn't?!

Had a 1.4 T-Jet 120 as a first car for a month or so now and this review is a joke. The rear visibility is fine and the cabin is very well put together and I've had no issues finding any of the switchgear. Such a harsh review, if anyone is looking at a Bravo don't let this put you off, you won't be disappointed.

Fiat bravo I have had for 6 years I love the car, I have a 1.4 petrol and it's the fastest 1.4 iv ever owned. Had the fiat 6 years and apart from changing, brakes, tyres, calipers and exhaust along with paying mot and tax, iv never had a problem with it. The review doesn't at all match my experience with the car poor review.

Owner of a Fiat Bravo tjet 120 hp for 11years with 102.00kms.Other than normal service and 3battery replacements only a light bulb on the rear light,And that’s all. Such a bad review since all plastics are in perfect condition and nothing close to that review..

i owned a Fiat Bravo Tjet since 2007 & every moment behind the wheel is exciting!
i agree that resale value isn't the best... BUT who says i'm selling my Bravo?!?
i disagree that fittings felt loose & cheap! i actually found the Golf's fittings cheap & boring.
Let's face it... most British car reviews hates Fiat or Italian cars - except Ferrari or Lambo =p
considering a hatch that has nice flair & good fuel economy... that Fiat Bravo is a serious car to look for.

I've bought a T-Jet back in 2008. It looks great, rides great, feels great, never had a breakdown in 14 years and 350000 km. I'm an oversized adult (187 cm and 110 kg) but the interior has never put my size in any sort of question, and I never had to leave somebody behind for short or long trips due to lack of space, as long as they were no more than 5 people. 14 years later I have no peculiar sounds in the cabin, everything seems to fit perfect, looks as day 1 and its perfectly aligned. I've been driving 150 km per day to work and back for more than 10 years (I'm now retired), in excessive speeds (160-170 km/p.h.) safely and comfortably and never had problems making a corner. Consumption has never been an issue as it was quite reasonable at about 9 lits/100km for my style of driving (it can go easily under 7, if you're not harsh with the gas pedal). Reselling value is not a problem, since I don't feel like selling this beauty in the near future. And that comes from someone who owns cars since 1977, and never kept a car for more than 5 years. Most of the cars I've owned before this one were either German or Japanese. I don't know who or why has published the above BS, but whoever that might be , doesn't have a clue.

I bought one 1.9jdt, second hand before an year. I'm very pleased with the car. It's on 170 000km and I did 10k, no issues. It's really great for the city - low fuel consumption (< 7l /100km) only urban commute, while very dynamic. And I like the light handling, which here is criticized.. it's really pleasant for my daily driving on the bumpy roads of our city.

I just test drove a 1.4 T-Jet version of this today
This lady DOES NOT have a clue what she is talking about!
The car is brilliant to drive. The performance is fantastic. The cabin design is classy and a lovely place to be. The handling is fine (this was over below par roads and over speed humps) and there is PLENTY of room in the back!. I'm 6'2 and the garage fella had plenty of space behind me
A ridiculous review slating this car unnecessarily!

I agree with all of you when you say you dont know what this woman is going on about. The style is very nice, the interior is classy and sleak. Maybe they only tested the very basic model?!

Funny, I used to work in car rentals, and the 10 yr old Bravo 1.9 Sport I just bought is nicer inside than a lot of 2017-2018 VWs, (except for lack of touch screen nav but that can be remedied with a cheap android head) It has more power and still looks better than 95% of what’s on the road. It’s also passed every MOT it’s had. I think 3 stars is an insult. Still, kept the resale price low so good for me.

I've got the 1.9 multijet sport and love it. the switch gear confusing, what planets she on? I don't have a problem with the interior it's a nice place to be. good car all round and hopefully getting mine remapped to 185bhp and 400nm and averaging 55mpg what's not to love?

  • @the1only1
    @the1only1 Před 12 lety +3

Review the sport model, body roll is reduced, better exterior style and with the use of a sport button the steering becomes firmer and throttle becomes more responsive. Interior is fine.
The ride is a bit hard and even more so with the sport model. Leg room in the back is very tight. But at release date it had better interior than its rivals, a good standard bluetooth system and stand out of crowd looks. Oh and its got decent MPG for its power, again compare to its rivals on release its great.

i have a bravo t-jet my review its a BIT different: a lot of space for every one and every thing in the car especially for people in the back the interior its just perfect excellent quality and very pretty excellent engine that its very powerful but very conformable when shift down because he didn't brake the car aggressively. EXCELLENT CAR

  • @mattsbeamer

I had one of these cars to rent a few weeks back. It was a 2010 1.6 turbo diesel. I agree with a few of the comments and disagree. The only thing I wasn’t to keen on was the way the car wonders a little, and lack of feed back in the steering, and I wasn’t to keen on the gear change but I think that could be down to it being a old rental car.
I liked the interior styling and to be honest it solid inside. The mpg on the car I drive was very good, i am sure I was getting an average of 55mpg.
I have done some filming of the car and hopefully I can make an in-depth tour soon :)

Hmmm...Bravo got brilliant verdict in the German AutoBild magazine s 100 000 km review. I Use to have a Stilo, and not even that was in any way less refined than the competitors. Reviewers expect luxurycar standards from a basic car. Just because it is Italian.

james fitzharris Well, to calm you down I can tell you German car magazine Auto Bild has done a long duration test of the Bravo, and they gave it a 1, the best grade possible. And German auto journalists usually favour German brands very strongly.

The review is probably fair in some ways if you bought new it was an expensive car but second hand you can get decent 09 plates for a couple grand an are hard pushed to beat the quality for that kinda money. Comments about interior are wrong I think, that was one of the things that sold it to me I liked the inside it's better than for e.g. a Ford/Skoda similar priced vehicles I looked at and it felt sturdy an still does for the price. The steering is nice and light I don't think it's artificial and if it is it works and I can do it with one finger so do I want more effort not really. It does have body lean in corners but I like that. It is a bit tight in the back but only because I'm 6 ft 1 and have my seat right back but people can still squeeze in behind me. Overall it's a nice lowkey car not owned by nobheads/not thrashed second hand with good economy.

I was about to write a comment, but I am pleased to see that already many owners already pointed out the main mistakes and sometimes ridiculously biased "scores" of this review. Today the car is not on sale of course, but I have been using my Fiat Bravo 1.6 multijet for 12 years and I couldn't be happier. Great value, confortable, maintenance as minimal as it gets. This reviewer should really get the facts straight (or maybe change job?). My review regarding this review: inaccurate and biased
