You should do a slinky dog with one of those extra long slinky’s. My old science teacher had a slinky that was like a foot long (coiled) and 20 feet long when stretched out. It’d be cool to see a slinky dog with one of those incorporated into it

Slinky dog was originally voiced by the Late Jim Varney in the film two films.
After Him, his Friend, Blake Clark now does the voice of the character.
Blake Clark is still alive to this day.

worked perfectly, thank you so much bud, I apologize if I asked too many question's, once when I recoiled the new slink in I put the super glue gel on the part of the metal and plastic and now it sticks, only problem is if you pull really really hard on the slink out the the place where u super glued, like how u did with his ears but I think thats normal. Anyways thanks bud =D
Mostly I do these things for display purposes and not for play. If people plan on handling the toys too much this probably won’t do too well over time so do what works best for you. I’m happy to help. This mod worked for me just fine.

I'd say the only way it would be even more accurate was is the Slinky company re-released the original Slinky Dog that the character was based off of.

@TodayIGrewUP when I pop the back open there is a place on the plastic that holds the slink with hot glue 2:22, does it work if I remove the slink and then put the new slink in the plastic holders and put super glue on it on the holders and then super glue the plastic back to the toy instead of what u do in 4:22. In 4:22 does the slink slip since u did it that way?

You can try it with the other versions but to be honest I do not really know because I don’t have those other versions right now. I think technically I do not see why it wouldn’t work. It should I feel.

yeah I always cut or hurt myself sometimes when doing these mods
I have an old slinky from 2008, its one similar to your's but the string is located on between its eyes, back when I was little I broke the slink and I cut the slink out of him, now he is in two parts. If I want to put a new slink in him, there are some pieces of his slink on his back on 2:39 if i pop the back open, will it easily pop out again if I put a new slink in it like in 4:11, like if I stretch it with a new slink will it pop out, or if I open the back, will it break and I can't put it back in. Please let me know

thanks for the link for the slink man, sorry for asking u so many questions, so should I pull really hard on the slink wire for the back to open right, the plate won't crack into two sections right or it's possible.
Also is it possible insert the slink without opening the back.

No problem I’m happy to answer your questions! I would say it’s not possible without opening because you can’t properly secure the slink without seeing what you’re doing… and use flat head sharp and small screwdrivers or an edge of a sharp blade to pry it open.. it’s the only way without damaging or breaking the plastic. You have to proceed slowly and cautiously.

Yes go for it.. this worked for me. I use gorilla gel super glue so it’s better than regular super glue because of the “gel” component.

The one I have is made by Poof Slinky Inc. I think that's the original slinky company, but I'm not sure. I do know that the $3 ones you can get at Walmart are 1 size too small, as the slinky is supposed to cover all the holes where it's fed through on the inside. I'm pretty sure mine was metal as it's rusted. Where could I find a slinky with that exact diameter so it's centered on the body segments?

@@todayigrewup I did end up cutting the string as I had to remove the rusty slinky anyway. The front half had the slinky detached already (It must have broken off) so I twisted the other end off, but still need to remove the inside slinky remains. A hairdryer might work to melt the glue so I can remove the halves. I could recoil at the correct diameter, but I don't know anyone who could do that. If I do that, I may as well give it leather ears too.
Update(about a year or 2 later)
I managed to get the back half separated and took out the old slinky that was in there. I can confirm it's the same material as one I got from Walmart, or at least it feels the same. The old one seems to have a slightly bigger diameter. But it won't make much of a difference. I might not even need to glue the plate things as they clip back into place pretty well. Thanks for the tutorial.

So when you are taking out the broken slinky and unhook it from the inside by snapping the slinky out, cant you just snap the new slinky inside of the dogs body so it won't ever come out instead of just shoving the new slinky inside?
It doesn’t really stay back in place once you pop out the compartment. I tried doing that but it didn’t work for me.

Yes it should work the same but I don’t know for sure because I’ve never tried it before. I do think they are built similar though.

It seems maybe you need this version of slinky, I haven’t tried it on the talking version. I can imagine the electronics are in the way. I wouldn’t mind trying it for an experiment maybe I will one day on this channel. Luckily on Amazon you should be able to find the non talking version of slinky there for a good price still!

Once you bend it you can’t really put it back I tried and it didn’t work for me so you’re gonna have to replace the whole slinky now or just keep it bent like that.
