  • After many weeks of rust work, it was finally time to frame my Sprinter Van! For my walls i fitted and screwed in 1x4 for support, and 2x2 for the ceiling supports! We built a frame to support the ceiling van that will be installed shortly! Follow along for my future video on how i spray foam and insulate!

    I like your idea of using clamps to hold the support. Thanks for sharing.

    A word of advice, if I may: Never work with power tools in bare feet. If you ever drop one; it's not going to be pretty. Great video. Thank You.

    Hey Jordan!! Great work. What do you mean exactly with 2x2 for the ceiling supports? 2 cm x 2cm . Many thanks. Jose

      Hey! I used 2 inch x 2 inch Wood from Lowe’s that I pressed up with 2x4 In order to get them to bend with the van! I pressed them to be leaven with the metal framing that comes stock with the van so that I could try and save as much head space as possible!

    What length did you use for the screw?

    • @jordanchampalou6729
      @jordanchampalou6729  Před 3 lety +2

      It depended where I was screwing into. The ones to go into metal, I think the shortest was 1.5inch, and the longest was either 2-2.5 inches

      @jordanchampalou6729  Před 3 lety +1

      You just want to make sure the screw isn’t long enough to go through the van.

      @@chax2004 I had $9000 in repairs in less than 6 months. And that’s unfortunately way to common with sprinter vans. Everyone who has sprinters has these problems. They’re built to fail, and no one talks about it.
