My 2024 G14 is the perfect machine. I am in love.
Mannn Iam Jealous hahahaha
I had the Lenovo and returned it. Now I have the G14 (also owned the original) and it's definitely a keeper.
@@benchong6399what's the main reason you returned it?
Love this kind of comparison. Just a quick suggestion on the graph, maybe you could use a different color of the bar for the mystery laptop. It would be easier to track and compare. Anyhow, nice work!
Nice comparison. Can you give a subjective evaluation of the heat and fan noise on these 3? This is a very important measure of how useful these things are in real usage. If you can't keep your hand on the keyboard while gaming, or it is burning up your lap, it's a major issue. Also, if the fans are excessive, you don't even want to use it.
You can for sure
Thank you for all your reviews. They helped find an amazing Laptop. I'm Loving my Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 with 4060, and 32gigs of ram This OLED 2880x1800 screen is so beautiful. It's pretty amazing for the price. I got the fully loaded model for $1195.00 US in Canada that equals to $1630.00
Hmm I can't find 32gb option
Great video! Which one would you pick if they were all the same price?
Also, what do you think about the Omen 14 with the ultra 7 processor?
Of all the same price I would pick the G14
@@BenGKaiser Thanks for answering! :)
According to Lenovo's website the keyboard deck is listed as Aluminium.
The lenovo doesnt have g sync though?
Excellent review! 14’ laptops don’t get enough attention. 👏 👏 As a professional on the move, these powerful options are awesome! I like the 32GB option for simultaneous tasks.
I would love the Asus one, however it does not come in white in Scandinavia :/
Should I get the ausu zephyrus g14 2022 that has ryzen 9 6900hs + rx6700s or the asus tuf A16 with ryzen 9 7940hs + rx7600s. I Will be using it for mostly solidworks and I'm an university student. I have the budget for both of them.
Note : the price of g14: $1557 (1,30,000 INR)
A16: $1300 (1,10,000 INR)
I own both , am from India too , get the A16 , it has slightly worse build quality ,slightly worse display, about 10-15ish % better CPU performance and almost equivalent GPU performance. I go to uni too , both last me an entire day of use. The G14 has a better keyboard and feels more premium in general. Both are excellent choices , decide if that extra 20k is worth it for you , you get a better display , better keyboard , portability .
Is it worth buying the 2022 model in 2024 i think we can buy it here for around 100000inr
New snapdragon laptops are getting released i dont what to buy need a laptop for my uni tho
soldered ram is a deal killer for me only because if one becomes defective, your whole laptop is toast.
Lenovo legion slim 5 14 inch from best buy
and its much cheaper
Only much cheaper . Also performs much better than either of these and stays cool and (quieter , not quiet) than any of these as well lol.
In quiet mode it is pretty damn quiet in most games (still audible) but the fans do crank up in cyberpunk . It’s still quiet playable though
If it only had 32 gb ram option
@Promikes I mean it did but they're out of stock atm I believe
@@PromikesI was able to get mine with 32gb of ram on Lenovo's website.
As soon as you said "plastic" I just stopped listening. No laptop that has plastic as part of the frame will last long, I would rather spend a premium and get the Zephyrus for it will last me Centuries longer.
lol what are you doing with your laptops?
in my opinion the g14 is a way better deal because it is literally like the windows version of a MacBook that can do gaming
Still overpriced right now but sales will come.
Asus has bad customer support and their quality control is terrible. Also comparing the G14 to a Macbook is a huge overstatement.
It's getting close but nowhere near the quality. Go see one of these in person the hinge is very cheap, case tolerances to the keys are sloppy, and speakers are still subpar. As much as I dislike Apple their Macbooks are absolute tanks and the build quality and quality control on them is amazing.
Yes, amazing laptop, very expensive, exactly the same as the newer macbooks.
You clearly are talking about the 2023 model, the 2024 is much better built, no longer looks cheap (looks almost exactly the same as a 2015 macbook, their best design), and has the best speakers almost rivaling macbook quality (best for a windows laptop).
Uninstall Armoury crate and install Ghelper. It gives more fps than draining.
HP Victus but I will say my MacBook Air m1 can do everything I need it plays roblox and Minecraft perfectly and I love the battery life
Not everyone plays Minecraft or Roblox bruh some people like playing triple A games💀💀💀
I can see a local (India) version with up to 32gb ram, which is great. This comparison may have changed what I'll be getting going forward... The India version doesnt have a OLED panel though, sadly. But I think thats okay too. You can also get up to a 4070 here, which is great!
Where? Its not released in india afaik
First like and comment!
Ugh....I am getting tired of his loyalty/bias to Lenovo in his videos (clearly paid by them to promote them positively)
I've NOT been paid to promote this. Please find me a better budget friendly option and I'd be happy to talk about it.
@@BenGKaiser I’m just saying every other video seems to be Lenovo focused. Also, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that later this year the G14 we have significant discounts like it always does at Best Buy. It’s a better built laptop and has G-Sync and better speakers. Lenovo’s laptop designs are getting stale
As of today the lenovo slim 5 oled is the better bang for the buck. Hell i got the 32gb ram version with the 7840hs and 1tb sdd for 1K delivered
Asus will have sales of course in due time and hopefully lenovo will have refreshed this laptop in a slimmer , sleeker chassis.
If they use the design of the lenovo 7i 2024 (non pro) in white , i might upgrade, its a damn beautiful laptop at the level of Asus
@@ScottBoylesBetter speakers and slightly higher resolution, yes (though I could not notice any difference at BB between the 2.8k vs 3k models on display). However, with the legion you get a second ssd slot (not available in the G14) and it runs cooler and quieter. Additionally, you can order the Legion with 32gb's of ram (at least in the past, not sure if this option will return) which will boost its performance while still being cheaper. Asthetics is a personal choice - some prefer the more subtle look of the legion while others prefer the more gamer look of the G14.
@@ScottBoyles it’s because Lenovo has solid build quality and the prices are not insane????
Look at the benchmark . The 4060 on the slim 5 performs like a 4070 in the 2024 g14 .
Numbers don’t lie .
