Five-O is not a reference to Police cars that are Mustang 5.0's, that is purely coincidental and a stretch to say he's referencing specific car models of cops. It's a direct reference to Hawaii Five-O where the term originated.
They don't call handguns a hammer, their is a piece of the gun called the hammer. When you cock the gun it pulls back the hammer, when you pull the trigger it releases the hammer and that is what hits the back of the bullet where the primer is that fires the round. They call handguns handguns or by the mm round it fires...like a 9mm is often referred to as a 9mm instead of whatever model 9mm it is. A .308 Rifle is often just referred to as a .308 instead of Remington .308 or Smith and Wesson .308 etc. In rap (you should know this by how big a fan of hip hop you are) that any gun regardless of being handgun, automatic, semi, burst, or single fire is often referred to as Steel or again by the mm round it fires. Perfect example is when Em talks about the .45 which is probably a double or triple entendre with the fact that his radio station is called Shade 45.
