This would be awesome if there were a non-subscription option where you just straight buy the VST and buy the points that you can spend on sounds. But Loopcloud (and also its competitors) are so obsessed with this cancer called subscription models that they completely ignore what their customers actually want. You see, most of us are not full-time music professionals. Probably most of us are just music production enthusiasts who go in and out of music-making for periods of time and therefore don't want to pay for models that charge them when they're not music-making. Seriously, how hard is it to cater to this vast audience? Adding a non-subscription option would not only provide Loopcloud a unique selling point, it would also earn them a lot of goodwill.

Very limited in scope. I would have preferred it as a proper sampler VST. Now I can't even play the sample over MIDI in the VST. It's just a browser. I'll stick to regular Loopcloud VST and having it open the standalone app

You can't play midi through it?! That's kinda pointless when using one shots then. Hope they introduce this soon. It needs same functionality as the Loopcloud app

@@loopmastersthe space before and after the actual sample, especially vocals, makes it near impossible to time stretch. Even when played back from loopcloud, the sample goes to bar 1 before completing the cycle. It's really bad

I prefer the desktop app but it's nice to have options.
it's a great addition, the stand-alone app is good too because of pattern creation from one-shot samples. But this new approach can also be great sometimes.
And I guess we can also slide one shot sample from loopcloud sounds to loopcloud drums or loopcloud play... so that's great

i dont know why yall wont just go ahead and offer customers the option to pay a little more for a higher tiered subscription that also includes the "find harmonic matches" to use on our own sample libraries. i know that we can already use the "find similar sounds" feature with our own sample libraries, but that's not the same thing as the "find harmonic matches" and "find rhythmic matches" feature. i make hip hop, drill, trap music and more trap music, so when i use the "find harmonic matches" feature with the loopcloud sample library, it mostly returns results that are more suited for house music, drum and bass, that "other" kind of trap music, and techno-ish type genres, which are not exactly the types of audio samples that hip hop producers have in mind.

I'm loving this. I'm often just trying to grab loops and get them into Ableton as quickly as possible so this will speed up that process. Additionally, I love the stand alone Loopcloud but it's really annoying when I'm working on the go and don't have a second monitor.

I've been trying out the loopcloud sounds plugin for a few weeks, but must say I actually utilize the features within the main app as part of my workflow...so hopefully the extra features will find it's way into the plugin version down the track.
Thanks for your feedback Nathan. Glad to hear the desktop app is playing a role in your workflow! We will be implementing a bunch of extra features in the next update, so keep an eye out for that.
Splice is going to have to copy these features this is the future of using samples.
After a few trials, I am sorry to say that Loopcloud Sounds does not fit my workflow.
I cannot find a way to search for specific tags (for example label) on my local storage. I also haven't found a way to search for MIDI files. Pre-editing especially cutting of samples is essential for me. The similarity search is not really satisfactory either in my opinion. To me the VST seems more like a distribution-oriented sample randomiser.
Just downloaded it to try and got to say it’s fantastic! Quick question, if I find a vocal I like, how do i search for more from the same pack? Similar doesn’t seem to bring up the same vocalist.

This is a great feature and timesaver. Is there a way to bookmark where you are in a list if you are going through samples? For example, if I choose Vocals, Loops and Male and begin to go through what's returned and then stop, If I redo this search at another time is it going to give me the same samples it gave me the last time? Would be great to only have it return samples I have not heard otherwise a lot of time is spent listening to the same things.
As someone who likes to browse samples only within the DAW and don't wanna jump into another software I'd say this is a W. Everybody has different ways of producing and when I just want something that works I'll pick this over the app. When I'm starting a track it would be the other way around. It all depends on the situation you're in.
This is like Ejay work flow reborn in todays world.
Someone needs to make a synth where you can drop a sample into it, it then analyses the sample/sound example and programs the synth to sound just like the sample/example sound.
Synthplant 2 is going to have exactly this feature. True Cuckoo interviews the developer where he showcases this new AI feature with some samples. The results are kind of crazy considering it’s quite a simple synth at its core.

I want to play everything on my midi keyboard! With pitchband and vibrato! Do they have any sampler for that?
I'm running Ableton 12 suite with LoopCloud.. only issue I find is it won;t save the samples. I do a Save Live Set and then a Collect All and Save. It does not create a samples folder. Not sure why ???
Nice. But where to find it. I find it sometimes difficult to find the plugin suite of loopcloud when I want to reinstall. And now i am looking where this plugin is. This process might be made simpler. learn that I can download the pluging, but where?
So that's now a replacement for the other plugin they have for the plans?
Greetings and thanks for the great video. I was wondering, how do you keep Luke cloud from not disappearing behind Logic Pro X when you click on it. I’m working on a Mac and every time I click on the Logic Pro X the loop cloud app disappears behind the Logic Pro X. Very frustrating.
Any plans for these to be used on a MIDI channel ? For example, testing a kick one shot on a 4/4 MIDI clip ?

Gimme what Coso does in this plugin and I'd use it religiously right along with the Loopcloud App.
Giving it a spin...would be nice to be able to control the gain? A basic 3 band EQ? The way it works so far is actually a big help if you want to pull a sample into another plugin like a sampler/ drum rack or something like that. I kind of have faith that this is just a humble beginning ;)
The only thing Is missing Is that they should Add midi for each lead, bass or Melody.

Pitty i cannot find the free sounds I already own in this plugin. And also not the daily free sounds coming with my account. Only the sounds I have to pay for. So I have to go with the regular already existing soundcloud vst.
i agree, if it would connect to all your free sounds and search other free sounds it would be a more complete plugin
4 million + samples sounds great and shiny... but. Big But: Are you able to link your own third party samples or does it only work with the "4 million samples" by loopcloud/loopmasters?
You have access to both it looks like, yes.
You can do both and in Loopcloud when you import your own sample library it auto-tags the samples for you
being able to sort the samples would be good too, alphabetical etc

Ive been subscribed a few years, i just opened Loopcloud in Ableton for the first time in a few months (which used to open a standalone client) but I got a "Out of date" error. The button to download just takes me to your homepage.
My question, is this Sounds plugin, replacing the old client plugin?
Hi, Loopcloud Sounds is the new VST plugin designed to have a smaller footaprint and is a source for sounds within your DAW. It doesnt have the full edit features and capabilites of the Full Loopcloud standalone app.

How about a loopcloud app for iOS?
It would be better e.g you have a good vocal and find simliar than its displaying the rest of vocals of the original sample pack. Now I have a vocal sample but cant find the other vocal samples from this pack or the complete pack. the idea is good but its still not perfect
I’m glad you like it, but it just seems like a more restricted version of the other app.
We highly recommend you continue to use the app if that's what you enjoy and find suits your production style best. We love the full app just as much :) - JC

Hi there, in the Loopcloud desktop app under File/Advanced, there is a option where you can "edit colour scheme" but when i change some colours and save it, loopcloud doesn't load my saved colour profil after restart, it opens in standard colour mode again (dark), no matter what i do under preferences, it doesn't take over my colour settings... any idea or tip ?? Thanks!
btw. can we have cover view back again Please!!. it was such a cool feature (in the editor area) , don't understand why we have no cover view of samples anymore 🙁

There is a "My Sounds" option in the top right of the home page and you can turn off "Sync" in the bottom right at any time :) - JC

Nice addition, but this approach doesn't allow you to preview multiple samples/loops at the same time
It would be useful to know if you can open multiple instances of the plugin on separate channels to do something similar to that of the standalone version

I used this new app for a few minutes and its just useless. I cant find my favourited packs (i can only find favourite samples individually) There seems to be no way to dig into a full sample pack, if i find a sample i like, why cant i enter the full pack to hear more from it?
is it possible to get the midi from the audio files? example a lead or arpeggio? thanks

These aren't "samples"...they are loops. Everything is made for you. Which is fine if you don't know how to create your own music from scratch. Using apps like this isn't production. It's arranging. Big difference. Someone else produced everything ahead of time.
There's nothing this does that loopcloud doesnt do 100x better already, or am I missing something?
I just installed it because I thought I was missing something and honestly couldn't figure out why I would use this over the LoopCloud app which has VST integration just like this.

Hey there, these features are still available in the Loopcloud desktop application as usual. Loopcloud Sounds is a separate VST for those who want a more streamlined version in their DAW. You have the choice to use either (or both!) with your subscription :)

Huge fanfare for for fewer features than we’ve already got 😂 …Where’s the FX suite..? The multitrack enabling users to use up to eight one shots or loops before dragging it onto a track..? It might have multitrack & Fx, I don’t know, Joshua was too busy banging on about 4 million sounds, Major & Minor key searches.
I’m a £9.99 a month Studio Plan member & I use LC every day, & if they plan on discontinuing the existing app I’ll just start bunging my samples into the Pigments 4 sample engine.
I have lost the respect I had for him. He sounds like he is doing a Midi pack advert.
One of the beauties of the original Loopcloud stand-alone or plug-in is that you can mangle a loop or sample, using the Fx & the pattern menu, so it sounds nothing like the original source material. The user can put their own imprint on a loop.
With this App you can only do that by mangling your loop in the existing Loopcloud 7, save it to one of your collections, then opening this App to drop your sample onto a track. On the surface, & I’ve only used this app for ten minutes at 1am this morning, it’s a searching, sorting & purchasing portal that makes sorting & purchasing using points easier. To be fair, some users will love that, especially if like me you own large libraries of Loopcloud sounds. Not me, as I like to Split, Reverse, Pitch Shift, add Eq & Filtering so that a bog standard 909 kick one-shot sounds like an ethereal chorus of marimbas, for example.
Good News! This is not meant to replace the full Loopcloud app. So, if you prefer the app, we say "stick with it!" :) - JC

Did you ever hear for EQ 2? Those beautiful vocals are so full of unwanted noise and there's no way to clean any of them.. I lost my time, I lost my nerves and I regret that 1 buck that I had to pay.. (didn't get free trial) As professional producer, I'm so disappointed. and will not use this ever again..

Tell your customers how can they download all the samples they have purchased, please. You've made the process so difficult almost impossible, so nobody is able to do it, forcing you to keep the subscription forever.
You can go in to your library, shift-select everything, right-click and "download in background". That will download everything you've ever purchased to your computer. If you experience and issue, you can email support@loopcloud.com for more. - JC
Yes, but you have to open every album first and then select the samples in that album, download them, go a level up to see the rest of albums and repeat for every album. I have like 45 pages with 30 albums each, as I said it's possible but it's so difficult that it will take me like 1 month to download all my samples. You could perfectly list all of them in a single view to select all of them at once and download them in one go. @@loopmasters

This is not a Game Changer. All the things that your showing are in the previous incarnation apart from a little plugin. Much better with two monitors. Not impressed. Why don't you fix the AI which is still in beta (because it does not work) Booo
