    The wreath is so beautiful!!! I agree with you about the joy. You could cut the letters apart. I sure wish I had a tumbler so I could work with glass like you do. My husband doesn't agree that I need one. Rolling my eyes at him. You truly have such a wonderful talent for your all of your glass projects!!! Please keep sharing!!

    I wanted to thank you for your instructions and beautiful ideas for xmas. I bought 6 frames from Michael's on clearance and over a few days copied some of your ideas. I didn't use the resin as I live in an area where it's too cold to reach 72 degrees even in the house, so I did the mod podge method. I made a few mistakes but am pleased with the results. Thank you for everything and will try spring flowers in resin when it warms up a little. Happy holidays

    I love this project. So beautiful. That green is totally perfect for your project. I can't find your response to me on one of your projects about my watch table. I have stuff done that I needed to get finished and now I'm about ready to tackle it in final prep. Scared to do it but it's now or never. If you can remember our conversation, I must say you have given me the willpower to go for it. If you want, I'll get a picture to you of the prepour attempt(s). It will have to be a deep pour or a multi pour, I'm sure. Thank you for being by inspiration. Totally enjoy your vids.

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes I remember talking to you a while back about the watches . How deep is the pour because Steve McDonald has done a video on resin yellowing in sunlight and there are a few resins that he recommends ( not that you are going to have your table in the sun) But I thought if it is less likely to yellow in the sun then it would be less likely to yellow. I am thinking the resin he used would have to be a multi pour. I do not work with deep pours except I was sent a resin called Nicpro which I used one time worked well but do not know the long term effects. have you researched any of the deep pour resins?czcams.com/video/-wS_wJ6pvP0/video.htmlsi=vD58wOha0ppMr3f3

    Great job as usual Glass Lady !! 😁
    I love your thriftiness !, as it always seems to lead to something more than just a bargain, but also something creative & beautiful as well !
    You often express your love & excitement when it comes to the “thrill of the find” where I can totally relate as we do have that in common !!
    I agree about the “Jay” piece, … it’s definitely an “a”, instead of an “o”.
    Such a shame as it would have been so cute ! … the perfect finishing touch !!
    As for that green vase that you snipped away at while making the comment about “real coloured glass vs. painted clear glass,” I’m wondering if you have learned any tricks along the way in determining real glass over fake coloured glass, besides actually seeing small areas of clear glass where the paint has rubbed, chipped or scraped off prior to buying or taking the time tumbling the piece ?
    Also do you have, or know of a good quality tumbler ?
    I see yours all listed within the notes, but is there a favourite amongst them or one that you plan to purchase at some point ?
    I am in Ontario Canada, but often I can still find most US bought items here.
    I sure do wish that we had a Hobby Lobby here though … 😩
    Thanks for another great video !
    Julie

      Thank you. As far as the glass goes for the most part if it is something that you would drink from or eat from it probably has the color all the way through.Like a translucent bowl or plate or glass. The most deceptive are the vases and after a while if you thrift enough you will get to know it. all the metallics are of course painted but if you saw my pink Christmas tree video I have started tumbling with just water and only some of the paint came off. The National geographic 3 lb tumbler is a good one I have had it for a while. wow I just looked it up from the canada site on amazon and it is over double the price. Crazy amzn.to/46SjUT4 Hope that helps

      Thank you Elaine. I use several different tumblers . I actually have a video How to make your own sea glass and I go over and show you the different ones .czcams.com/video/dMqmKrRgxm4/video.html. They are also all linked under the description.

    When you tumble the glass just to get the sharp edges off, do you use the grit? I had a beautiful blue vase and tumbled for only 3 hours and it came out more like sea glass. Don’t know if I use the resin if it will then look shinier.

    • @crazyglasslady
      @crazyglasslady  Před rokem

      Yes I do use a tiny bit of grit. just be sure to wash it well and when you pour resin over it will be shiny again.
