The movie broke many stereotypes. Tbh I felt like Sachin is someone who is made for reenu. Reenu talked about how she broke up with her ex bf she was too caring. And her bf didn't like that. But it's her character. If I was reenu I would never choose aadhi. He is a Manchild. On the other hand Sachin is young and immature. That immaturity is because of his age. He can grow into a mature guy. So always team Sachin. LOL 😅
I actually feel like both Aadhi and Sachin doesn't deserve her. She isn't great, but she is miles better than Aadhi and Sachin. Aadhi was a too dominating guy, but on the other hand Sachin is immature af, which makes Reenu dominate in their relationship, which may effect their relationship in a bad way. Even though Reenu and Sachin getting together creates a satisfactory ending for the movie, I would say that their relationship wouldn't work irl.

@@DSds.. I don't agree with that tho. My partner is similar to Sachin. That's why I felt connected to this film I guess. We are in a successful relationship for like years now. We had problems of course but together both of us conquered that. And He is still my thakkudu vava... lol😅
Yes Sachin is immature but he can grow to a mature guy. But a Manchild like aadhi will always be manchild. I am saying this out of experience. So I don't believe that the relationship between Sachin and reenu wouldn't work irl.
Just to clarify that Google Map thing.
They were not misled by Google Map. They intentionally did that so they can have a longer route and Sachin can spend more time with Reenu.
All of this director's movies are just love in a normal person's life. And most people don't have great experience or depth in their life. Also most people are not heroes who can beat up people that is why there are unnatural situations that change the plot or create love from thin air. Love just blossoms taking its time.
Great point on the Google Maps! It was hilarious but also makes sense in this way.
I did enjoy the unraveling of love to be honest, it was quite the ride which I enjoyed.
If u guys liked it checkout " Super sharanya" from the same director with same cast and "thaneer mathan dinagal" where many of them debuted.

I had to tell this after hearing your perspective.
The calling of full name indicates that they were school friends. In school kids are called their full name when there are more than one Amal in the class. So one will be Amal Krishana and the other could be Amal Davis.

This movie was a blast for me. I was able to relate to most of the things in the movie, I've watched it more than 5 times now. This movie was fabulous and amazing. I only had one negative thing about it, the ending of the movie felt unsatisfied for me,the main characters are now in a relationship but I would've loved to see them more together as a couple but then again this ending was realistic, it was a happy ending for them but for us the audience it felt unfinished. I would've loved if there was a scene that takes place after Sachin finishes his studies and comes back to reenu and his friends. But still movie was FANTASTIC, this is now one of my favorite movies even though it has a simple story but for me like I said it was extremely relatable
Wow 5 times! Glad you enjoyed it mate. It's definitely an easy to watch multiple times, which is great. I do agree with wanting to see more of the relationship though, fortunately I just heard a part 2 has been announced, so I expect there to be a lot of that coming soon!

Thats how boys become men after getting hurt. I think sachin really won 🏆 something precious in his life, it wasnt just any other girl for him. He will do great in life with she besides him.

You have to understand the various slangs and dialects of malayalam language...than you will enjoy it more.
Still a great experience for a non Malayalam audience though, which is great.
Most of the Freshers who get into work life like The 2 main characters are kind of like this. They all go to Bangalore or Hyderabad because everyone goes. Not much of a story is there to them.the office stuff I found. It perfect - many directors esp the older gen get the IT work space totally wrong( besides the tag 😂)

In malayalam there are atleast 20-30 youngsters below 30 who could play their age or nearby. K R Gokul from goat life is the main lead of 'Mlechan' and he is 22-23 y old. All other industries 30+ play collage kids. Ok....at the age of 73 Mammootty plays a 50 years old and you accept it. In Turbo it seems he brought his age down further.
There are just so many fresh young faces, it's so great to see. I expect in the next 5-10 years there will probably be a slew of new lead actors, and I think a few of them would have appeared in this movie!

Kathy, the hero at the end cant just stay because there is so much attached with him getting the visa.
to most of ordinary boys, its a once in a lifetime thing, even the money will be borrowed , family spend, so there is no other option for many things like love etc have to leave aside for some time

Stepping into higher class in train bogie, call from mother asking money are all symbolic represtation showing he is slowly stepping into mature remember he gets best employee recognition after this travel
I want you to watch one more time this movie to see how talented this young actress is when they were eating tfc burger aadhi's jking we can clearly oberve her displeasure visible in the eyes for a second and amal davis correctly read it later that inform sachin aadhi is almost disappeared and he also notices her inclination towards sachin even before she realized
One more thing writer if this movie and kumblangi nights shyam pushkar is the right hand man came to break legs of amal davis and sachin who informs aadhi he and his boys doesnt know driving

Well the whole point of the movie was that you could be a handsome, rich, well sought-after guy and still be a proper loser and if a girl tries to be with him, her life more or less could be a living hell ( the whole point of the adi charector is that. Just see to what length he goes just when his ego is slightly hurt. He even puts her career at risk at one point just because he didn't get enough attention during the family trip😮and he does that to a girl he says he is in love with..!!🤷🏾♂️) and a guy who is in his early 20's ( yea he got plenty of time to get his act together) who may not be that successful at that point in life, could be an absolute sweetheart.
Did she finally accept his proposal because she got to know that his visa to the UK has arrived? 🤔 Who knows 😂
One scene I absolutely did not find funny was the towel scene.
Just change the gender for a second and let's see how many will be laughing at that scene 😏
Interesting! Honestly I love your take as always mate. There is actually more depth to the movie thinking about it now, bit I really just enjoyed the journey these characters took us on. Revel in the imperfections I guess.
Interesting point in the ending as well! I like to think she wanted to be with him despite his faults because as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder, which she realised.
The towel scene though 😅.. that really caught me off guard.
@@D54pod Oh mate she definitely wanted to be with him for sure, I was just kidding 😂. But there will certainly be people who would think that way if the gender was reversed 😏.
And yes, to be honest the character development is pretty good. If you think back, you know exactly all the main characters come from, that is sachin, Amal, Reenu and Adi. We know their education, family wealth, family dynamics friendship and so on. I think one of the biggest take away is, people can be deceiving, willingly or not.. some do it knowing because they are sociopaths, but no matter how hard they try , their inner self will keep coming out, one way or another. And for others, they might seem like losers, but unknowingly their inner good will keep on coming out, without even them knowing so. And if we understand that, then we know that Reenu ended up with the right guy for her.
For people who would see dating and marriage as an upgrade in the social ladder or for financial merit wouldn't agree.
