It feels like all top class defenders were amazing strikers as a youth. Then transitioned later in their career.
Or like most people start as strikers and then move down the fields as they grow
All dream to be as good as other strikers. This overloads the position and hence to get more game time, they switch to other positions.
@@fzby6296 defense is the easier position to play which is why many youth players who started off as attackers and mids but lacked some of the skill transition into defenders. Playing in the attack is very difficult as you’re relied upon to basically score and win games
