- The I Threes was formed in 1974 to support Bob Marley and the Wailers after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, the original Wailer backing vocalists left the band. The three members were Marley's wife Rita Marley, Judy Mowatt, and Marcia Griffiths. Their name is intended as a spin on the Rastafarian "I and I" concept of the Godhead within each person.

@@rastavibration Robert Nesta Marley lost all of his dread locks and went bald because of chemotherapy to treat his skin cancer called Acral Lentigenious Melanoma and he even lost a lot of weight too. You should see the last pictures that Bob Marley took before he passed away in 1981. They are very sad to see.

It's Bob Marley's vibe in the released in 67 and played in live in early 70s. The song was meant for her daughter, Cedella.

@@kalelc1996 Bob Marley looked thin and he no longer had any hair during his last days before his death from Melanoma cancer. I saw his last pictures while he was still alive and he looked different without his dread locks and his face looked pale too. That cancer really did a lot of damage to him. This is why the doctors told Bob Marley or Robert Nesta Marley to get his toe amputated but he refused because of his Rastafarian beliefs.

You had Carlton Barrett and his brother Aston (Family Man) Barrett on bass and drums, Earl Wya Lindo on piano, keyboards, organ, and the synthesizer, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer as guitar players and percussionists, and even Junior Marvin and Al Anderson playing the guitars.

Bob should of got rid of the I threes to concentrate on technicality, no point holding on to old out dated skills, Things like horns and harmonizing backing vocals ,. That's going to be so old sounding yet the wailers would of needed to transform into a palletible modern product to be able to impress to continue into the future
