@@kioku618 My thoughts exactly. As a kid, I always imagined "Finding yourself" to mean you just wander around the city for hours until you find a mirror, all while calling out your own name.
I'm actually pleasantly surprised. As good as it is to have media that helps children cope with the death of a loved one, it's nice to know Bob was just "finding himself." I want to see more of Grandpa Bob! I feel like he is a silly, creative grandpa as Bandit is a father. I would love to see his dynamic with the family!

I like it and I like that no one is getting upset with him, just some loving ribbing from his wife. I think it's nice to show that couples are allowed to do things alone without it meaning that the relationship is in a bad spot. She knew it was something that'd make him feel better and was happy to let him do it without feeling guilty. Seems like she liked having some time to herself as well.

My grandparents are dead (except for one of my grandmothers), they died when I was pretty young and I don’t have many memories of them. When I watch shows like these that depict grandfathers and their relationships with their grandchildren, it’s a pretty bittersweet feeling for me.

I heard that COVID was the reason that McFadyen couldn’t make it for Fairytale. While most voices are done in Brisbane I’m quite convinced that Dave has a recording studio (as most musicians do) at home which means he can record in Sydney and Mel can record in California just because, but it’s a little different for occasional characters.

I read this once so take with a grain of salt:
I believe someone on the crew mentioned that the IRL explanation for Bob's absence initially was that Ian wasn't comfortable coming in to record lines during COVID due to his age/being high risk... So for season 2 they didn't have him around, then when season 3 started they likely were holding off until they could figure out if they should recast or not. It's very likely that it was all amicable and Ian's wishes to not put himself at a health risk being respected resulted in them recasting Bob when they decided they were ready to bring him back for stories.
I love this channel so much! One thing I keep thinking about after the episode is this what job will Bandit take? One that I'm hoping for is that he pitches a show based on his adventures with the girls drawn by Chilli so that way they can both leave their jobs and be able to spend more time with the kids.

@@aussiegirlmargie ☺ for me the only reason it came to mind was because of the episodes driving and dragons along with stick bird Bandit and Chill are both very creative but also stuck in jobs they don't really like the best way out of those, is by using their skills to make a show and it could be a loop around in a sense

its been an insanely busy week!!
I wonder if the next season will kick off with a big time skip (like 3 years or so), so the voices of the actors fit their characters in age again. I know this isnt usually done, but their voices have grown to me so much that I couldnt imagine someone else voicing them better 🙈
Also, it would be nice to see the Heeler Family grow together. New topics could be explored when they all are a bit older. School, rivalries, responsibilities, watching over Brandys little rainbow baby and much more.
Can you IMAGINE Socks at Bingo's age? She is adorable now, but how wholesome would it be to see her grow as well 😍
I think you need to do a theory video on Trixie and Stripes relationship. It seems like they are on the rocks. Twice we saw them arguing in the background, and then we saw Socks playing with the cake toppers and she was making them argue as well.

I think the reveal was telegraphed; the "finding himself in India" was batted around a while back.
As mentioned in the blog, I thought the family was kind of overly razzy about Bob's adventure. It's kind of a cliche, but travel to another country for a long while beats sitting on the beach and golf and shuffleboard!

My favorite moment of this episode and his moment with the girls was so cute I need him bouncing off of Nana and being cute with the girls. He’s just as charming as Mort.

I thought that the reveal was pretty funny. I've seen speculations on his fate for quite some time and he hadn't been seen in age, so I was starting to think that he really was dead. But they just had him appear in this episode and even explained away his absence for the fans, which just made me laugh. Honestly, I think it was a better choice. While helping kids coping with the death of a grandparent can be helpful, I think that would have been a bit too dark for Bluey to handle.
Hopefully we get more Grandpa Bod Return in the Future and spin-off Episode

You know I had my own random theory that's gonna sound crazy.
What if Chili took Brandys old crush, Bandit? :0
That "fairy tale" Bandit told the kids, he said he met Chili, but she had no memory of that happening.
Also in another episode, Chili tells Bluey there's something Brandy wants but can't have. Yes it could mean she was having fertility issues, however what if it was Brandy who had a crush on Bandit, but him and Chili got together making it hard for Brandy to come around to see the family because she was upset or jealous?
This probably did not happen at all, but it was an interesting thought that came to my mind
I wonder if we're gonna get more of Bob and Rad when season 4 comes around.

I've got a Bluey theory for you, Margie, and it's potentially terrifying.
Bluey Theory: Several characters in the series--namely Jasper G., his mum, the Argentine lady from "Explorers", and Tiny--have been victims of domestic abuse. Here are the facts to consider for this theory:
1. The first three characters mentioned above are Dobermans and Tiny is a Great Dane.
2. All four of these characters look like their ears have been cropped. (The ears of Great Danes and Dobermans do not naturally stand erect like these four characters' ears do, nor are they naturally that small in relation to the size of their heads.)
3. For those out there who don't know, ear cropping is the practice of cutting off part of a dog's ears and setting what remains of them so that they stand erect, and is usually done to make the dog look more ferocious. It is also a purely cosmetic procedure, having no health benefit to the dog whatsoever, for which the dog must be heavily sedated because it would be unbearably painful for the dog otherwise. Furthermore, it's banned in most countries, including Australia (ironic considering that Bluey is set in Australia), the UK, and Germany (ironic considering that this practice began there.)
4. For the reasons stated above, it doesn't really make sense in the Bluey universe that any character would willingly subject another to this procedure... unless it's done for the specific purpose of inflicting pain or permanently disfiguring the subject, hence domestic abuse.
So, who could have done this to the aforementioned characters? Probably their fathers--or, in the case of the adults in the list, their husbands. And this could explain why Jasper G.'s dad didn't appear in "Pass the Parcel": he was abusive to both Jasper and his mum, and either they simply escaped from the situation or they went to the police and he ended up in prison.
If they were cropped, the edge that was cropped would probably be brown (similar to Grandpa Bob's left ear), but the edge is black the same as if it had been that way from birth. (Though perhaps they could dye the edge black to make it look more natural.)
Honestly I did know that Bluey's Grandpa wasn't dead because there Is no proof that he died and I was pretty glad he didn't because he was honest with my second fave Plus I'm glad he's back 😭💗
The real mystery of Bob is how the left side of his fur turned from black to Rusty brown color…
And how his his left ear get the bite marks

No but on a serious point this is soooo good to see people showing their interest in each other's culture.. the world is healing~ psychologically there's 8 stages.. before the last stage if you spent your past all stages with satisfaction you can luve you last stage of life peacefully! Which most people unfortunately don't get :( if he went on a trip for a year we can take guarantee that he is happy with his life.. spend a satisfying childhood, got a job which he deserved, got a supportive partner by his side, raised his children correctly, already have seen birth of his grandchildren.. what else would anyone want to see! ❤ hope everyone gets this life 🩷✨️

he's clearly older, so maybe there was some stress at work, so he had to take some time off and eventually, maybe got bitten by a crazed ape? an ape bite would explain why in the images from the sign he has a piece of ear missing. either that or it was a bug bite, both often cause a lot of damage.
I kinda honestly don’t know if they did this on purpose, but I do kinda think they forgot about bob, and when the fandom made him remember, he decided to make it a mystery 🤣
When they said something about Bob finding himself I was thinking that he was probably having a mid life crisis which could start from anywhere around 40 to 60 years old. I don't know on how old Bob is to debunk this but I'm guessing that he's in his 60s to 70s.
Grandpa Bob is like Uncle Traveling Matt Fraggle.
I didn't think he was dead, mainly because the Bluey franchise has never shied away from dealing with some of the facts of life, so I think his passing away would have been covered. But having to go into a care home because of dementia was more reenable, due what was mentioned in 'Bedrooms' about Granddad forgetting about Bingo at Christmas. I took this as meaning Bob and not Mort because he was in an episode later on. And dementia would be a hard thing to explain to kids and even some adults and for TV they can't/ they shouldn't fix a stereotypical image of it, as its not one image fits all, you can have 20 people with dementia and none would be the same.
But on a happy note Yeah! Bob is okay and hope to see more of him.
