Remember, when you salute, you're technically saluting the Queen! This is because when you salute an officer, that's a display of respect to the rank and to the Queen's Commission, rather than to the officer themselves. It's therefore extremely important to get it right.

    Interestingly, saluting differs between countries.
In the South Korean military, we only show the pinky side of our hand outwards because the superior is "not supposed to see your dirty hand".

ARE YOU SERIOUS !!, really, an Army Cadet Force association CZcams to show young people how to salute. I am ex ACF and then ATC who then did five years in the RAF and in each of them was shown only once after joining how to salute, and that was all we needed to do properly. What is next, as with Monty Python instructing young people how to be "walking up and down the square".
What is made worse here, is this effectively ACF recruitment video to encourage young people to join, which having also been a teacher, who over two decades encouraged young people to join the ACF, we have a Staff Sergeant with a vile and very big tattoo that becomes the centre of attention of the promotion video, this also is something I can talk about as my time in the RAF was spent as Ground Photographer.
This disgrace of a staff sergeant and what ever officer or officers who chose him, shows the decline and thinking of the services even in the ACF when the having such a tattoo that distracted from the point of the video i.e. saluting and the promotion of having all over the body tattoos now - was not considered important at all.
What has happened to 'intelligence' and 'common sense' that I was taught when a teenager and a young man that benefitted so much in my life.
