I reviewed Civil War. a 2024 dystopian film written and directed by Alex Garland. It follows a team of journalists traveling across the United States during a civil war which has engulfed the nation. The cast includes Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sonoya Mizuno, Nick Offerman, and Jesse Plemons.BUT Is it woke or anti-woke?

I loved the film. I believe it was supposed to portray war through a journalist's eyes and let the viewer all but experience a dystopian America caught up in the grip of a modern civil war. And in that regard I was hooked. It's brilliant.
