I like what he did, but I would have to do mine a little different. My sound bar has the slots for wall mount. I don't want mine to have anything look like it's being held. I prefer to make it look like it's floating with the TV. So I would use the silicone mounts to achieve my goal. Still good video

Soundbars come with mounting holes on the back or on the side. What I did was get a metal bar actually I got the same exact aluminum size as yours 1/8 x 1.5 x 3 ft long. But I made it custom to attach my tv to my sound bar using the screws underneath. I cut it into 2 different lengths and somehow the bolt drill holes in the brackets ended up having to be exactly 10 inches apart each. I mounted it to the bottom holes on the tv and then connected them to the mounts that came with the Vizio 36 inch bar with the screw holes underneath. I painted it with black paint I already had so not to see any shiny metal even though I mounted it so close to the TV you can't see the mount. So it's all bolted together rather than making a mount like yours that would stick out. The 3 ft piece of aluminum was very expensive 15 dollars at lowes the stainless steel bolts about 4 dollars i could have used the cheaper bolts but whatever. I could have just bought a pre-made one online but I would have had to wait and also I wanted to do this little project anyway to get my brain going again. Its a guy thing. If I ever have to do something like this I'm ready. I saved like 0 dollars but it was worth it 😌

Its definitely a guy thing! I appreciate your in depth comment. Like I always say… there’s 10 ways to do something. Glad it worked out for you man!

Well it's a guy thing because were the ones that has to literally fix EVERYTHING. Clog in a drain i got a 50 ft hand snakr and ya ive had to use all 50 of it. Water heater goes guess what thats me. Car notnworking thats me just any thing imaginable. We have to provide also. I'm a professional hvac guy nearly 20 years I'm god at it but I can do pretty much every trade out there at a more rookie level. We definitely do need women tho. As a man I can not stand to organize things. I'd probably rather do dental work than organize all if my stuff which means I have 2 of some stuff and spend half the job looking for tools lol!!!!

Haha! That’s funny! I completely agree with everything you say. It’s great to provide those services to our spouses, and in return they do so much for us as well. I like being a jack of all trades and master of none. I’m an electrician and as with you, I can pretty much do everything, at least a little bit. Also fir me, it’s a sense of accomplishment to do things like that and see the reward of saving money and also knowing that we can just get it done! Appreciate you coming by again! Keep doing your thing and fixing the world. We are appreciated!
