One of the hardest things I've found it's convincing myself is the speed the car can actually go around corners. I see the top ten ghosts carrying so much speed and I'm thinking there is no way there is that much grip but there actually is. Makes a huge difference
Great video, I have found myself making those mistakes almost consistently. It really seems like learning a different way of driving when it's wet but, like you said, when you get down how to go faster in wet conditions, you get faster in normal conditions. Sometimes it feels counter-intuitive to push harder in the rain but definitely worth it.
The randomness of weather and how good driving on the rain is make this game very special!!

Rain is a difficult one tbh. It's fun but endlessly infuriating at the same time.
I'm so adapted to rain on other Sims. It impaired my driving in gt7. It's different
do not see why so many are hating on this game PD done a great job at how the cars and tracks feel.

Straight up love the rain and dirt physics in this game. Arguable some of the best I've played, and even comparing to the GOAT iRacing dirt, I was able to almost immediately transfer the skills over and feel at home. Also a skiing reference, you're a skiier?
You make me want to take on the challenge of the rain. It’s so difficult for sure and you made it look easy. The most difficulties I had in the rain was at SPA going for the gold in the final license. I finally achieved it, but took me a few days to get it down. Thank you for your videos.

I think the most tricky part about rain in GT7 is to aviod wetter part and the stagnant water, unlike some games the water on the track surface is even. They are extreme dangerous and could cause instant death due to rapid change of grip levels.
Just won the Suzuka 10 lap race in the wet. Quite the challenge. Luckily I choose the right tires when the weather cleared up. The puddles of water when you go just of the dry line is amazing. Love this game! Good video keep it up!

Thanks, trying to do the weekly 60min race at spa which has deadly intermittent rain. I got caught out and lost 40 min of my life haha hopefully I can get the dub now

i used the heavy wet tires and they SUCK AT THEIR JOB. Even when its wet. MY CAR KEEPS SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL EVEN IF IM NOT EVEN TOUCHING THE JOYSTICK
Ill be honest. Im just learning wheel because i got one yesterday. And racing in the rain is so impossible. I tried to tease the throttle to turn but i dont think im really getting it right. I take low speed corners at like 7 miles an hour
The ending of that race is how tv’s and controllers get smashed, sickening!
I have a question which answer i couldn't find it anywhere, in GT7 is there such thing as wet racing lines? Because i know for a fact that in the real world when there's rain you should keep a line on the non-rubbered part of the track. Does this apply in GT7 too?

IS THERE A WET LINE IN GT 7 ? In the wet, the normal racing line is usally slippy as f*** - so when racing in the wet in real cars, you better keep off the dry line, eg braking next to the dry line, driving through corners in a different way, etc - here I see you are driving the dry racing line also in the wet - so I suppose there is no wet racing line?

You have so much experience in real life on the wet then tell me when I'm not hitting the throttle why my steering locks up 🤦 only going 20 miles an hour around the corner already hit the brakes before the corner even came and the car still won't steer worth a damn and continues to go straight, the worst weather conditions in all games I've ever seen in my entire life is in this game..... 🤦 Stuck on the Porsche Cup Circuit De Spa Francorchamps because of this garbage
Found out the problem and of course game logic takes over where you have to have heavy wet tires on your car to complete the race and be able to steer 🤦
I don't know what im doing wrong but if theres any rain on the ground and I try and accelerate at all, even on a straight, my car spins out. Meanwhile the AI cars just cruise past me.
