Although I was not able to attend Sheridan, I am still glad to hear that I made it and hopefully more door would open in the future for me! I wanted to make this video for a long time but always felt bittersweet when trying to recall the experience, but nonetheless, grateful for the reassurance! Feel free to chat up with me whenever I'm live.
Individual pieces will be posted on Instagram so feel free to follow while I try my best to upload them!

You must be a literal god to get a 100% sheeesh 🔥
You could probably just apply to a studio and get a job if you wanted. Your work is better than some grads i know. Im sure a studio would totally snatch you up and train you. Amazing work
Your work is really impressive! It seems to me that you're already a professional artist, especially in 3D. Which makes me really wonder what is the purpose of the school, if the people they accept are already this good. xD
Congrats anyway!
There's always a room to improve!
My guess is that animation schools teach you an industry standart, so you can get hired in studios
To make connections into the industry, i doubt these schools can teach people of this skill level.
Part of secondary schools, especially art related schools, show proof of achievement. So when you are going to try and get hired by a studio, being able to flash your graduation certificate from a school, such as this one, is pretty appealing. But definitely, if you plan on doing freelance, or already have connections, it might not be worth it.
This is just my perspective though
This is really helpful because I’m going to apply straight out of highchool and I won’t be enrolling in any special programs, so it’s really inspiring to see that you can get a high score on the first try! Congratulations!
Super glad to hear its helped you somehow, best of luck! 💛
Your portfolio is very good don't feel soo bad about not being able to go for financial reasons and who knows maybe you could get some extra money through CZcams of twitch. Also your vioce is very relaxing would be cool if you did like speedpaint story times or something similar.
Cool video! I recommend next time you either lower the music volume or talk louder, though. It was really hard for me to hear your voice, because the music was louder than it.
This was beautiful to watch. You're a wonderful artist, and you'll go very far! I wish you good luck in the animation school! Can't wait to see more of your work
Awesome work! Good luck in what to come
wow your works looks so professional!
thank u sm for this it was really helpful. i’m so sorry you weren’t able to attend :( best of luck for whatever your future holds!
this is really helpful and there are a couple things said here that i haven't heard in the other sheridan animation portfolio videos i've seen! thanks a bunch!
I LOVE your rigged model
God damn your long poses are AMAZING o.o
It's also kinda new knowledge to learn..thanks Moonie 😁👍
Always love to see it
I can totally see why you got 100% amazing!
we love to see it
Wow, this is beautiful
Yo congrats Moonie
I 22. Can I still improve my drawing skill when just starting?
When the first piece appeared, I was completely shocked. They're awesome.
This is the first time ive seen a lot of 3D work in a sheridan portfolio, very cool
cool! i'm your 84th subber
so cool..!! Ur voice is vv relaxing :D
Thank you for this video! Im calm now that i know i can do the layouts digitally since all the ones i had seen before were traditional and im mainly a digital artist 😞💧
I like how one of your personal drawings is my pfp lmao
lil happy man ☺
Subscribed already. Btw can you tell me which app you use for digital painting and animation? 🥺
this is super inspirational! also do you know how early in advance the discord groups are made. i'm not sure if being in a sheridan hopefuls year dedicated to people who are closer to submitting applications to college would be good for someone like me who isn't even a senior.
or do they just change the year in the name
@@rainebows Heyy, thank you for the kind words! 💜 The discord group does make a new one every year, but they welcome anyone of any age regardless of when you will be applying. It's really up to you but I have seen high schoolers who are still just prepping there because they do hold group practices/study which is great for newbies!
Nice
Just curious because I'm looking to go into this program, what Operating System does Sheridan recommend, Apple or Windows?
Congrats Moonie!!
Edit: its bell lolol i realized you'd be confused
Thank you so much for the video it was very helpful! Also congrats, you are really skilled!! I am still in highschool. Do you recommend wether I should explore 3D animation/modeling? if so where do you think I should start?
Heyy, being a highschool student opens up SO many possibilities! Don't feel pressured to decide right now, I say you should pursue what interests you and build from there :) Definitely consider strengthening your basics because with a strong foundation, everything else should come smoothly. Remember, this will be a life-long career and as long as you're moving/learning, the possibilities are near endless! Good luck 💛
@@mhaimoon thank you for the advise!! 💪💪
How did you got your training???
God bless❤
your art is so lovely :'o
I'm curious, what different programs do you use, specifically for 3D animation? Is it maya?
Thank youu. and yes It was Autodesk Maya!
How long did it Took FOR YOU to make all this drawings and animations?
I have been watching similar portfolio videos, for a long time. I just wanna ask that is it for bachelor's or masters degree/ program ? Actually, i have recently completed my graduation in Bachelor's in design ( multimedia) and now I am willing to pursue my masters in animation at Sheridan.
I am an Indian, in case any Indian student is pursuing the degree -be it bachelor's or masters please do reply . I request others too to share their experience with me.
if there is any forum or discord server where i can know more about it please do let me know. Please do it ASAP. max within a week or two.
Are you going to enter this school to teach? It seems you have nothing to learn from them. You are already a professional.
You know how to do too much 😩, how old were you when you submitted?
Please How much is your tuition per year
Idk if the tuition on the website is per year or for 4 years
this was 3 days after my birthday
i wonder how exactly this portfolio is made, the part exclluding the personal artwork anyway. Do you do it in live time like an exam or do you have months until the actual application deadline to practice as much as you'd like and then submit whichever works (that fit the criteria)?
You may begin to prepare whenever you'd like and compile your works, so long as you have everything prepared by the deadline
What course did you take in high school
Did you buy the character you used for the last snowy scene?
No, I created him. It was for my final year project.
Hey i love this but the music is a bit too loud for me to be able to clearly understand you since English isn't my first language 😭
Do you remember about how long it took to hear back from them once your application was in?
If memory serves me right, It was late Feb towards early March
Hi
wo ai ni
This is something I can't understand, why would you need to go to an art school when you already know so much about 3D, animating and everything. You already have a professional level why would you spent +50K. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just genuinely confused.
Oh no worries, I think your question is valid. For me, it was a personal decision I wanted to make to further my dreams and career! I'm sure the scenario is different for everyone ☺ Plus I felt like I had more to learn and gain from attending as well
