Just to be clear: I only looked at the original designed of the guns used in this video. Not at the modifcations that were later made. For example, the M60E4 was designed in the 1990's but the original M60 was designed in 1952, so I just went with the year the original gun was designed in (except for the M1911A1 for some reason lol)

the Howdah pistol🇬🇧 is based on the Lancaster pistol🇬🇧 from 1860
the 1919 Thompson🇺🇸 is a true Thompson not a predecessor, also the first Thompson prototype was designed in Oct 1917

Whould rather wait five mins to get into a bf1 server than suffer from the diverse issues of bf1. I dont care about thw updates b2042 have recieved, it should have been at that state when it was released back in November 2021.

technically horses we know today were domesticated 6000 years ago, so the oldest weapon in BF1 would be the club

I think for BFV the Gewher 1-5 used from March to May 1945 and the FP-45 used in early 1945

Mark VI revolver was designed in 1914-1915. The I is 1880’s. Oldest sidearm in BF5 I think is the Lugar.

@@Ghoster7564 the so called "trench carbine" is most likely a Mauser C96 sporter, dev. in 1916 and with some service in the german Luftwaffe. The "Schnellfeuer" is a M712, developed in the early 1930es.
4:12 the modern horse appeared around 4000 years ago so technically this was the kill using the oldest weapon, a horse.

I’d also like to mention that in BF4 the SKS is the oldest class weapon, having served in WW2. The modernized SKS is not a variant but rather the same exact rifle, just more economically friendly resources from what I can find. In the entire game I’m pretty sure the oldest is the M2 Browning other than the Colt 1911.

AFAIK the sks never served in ww2. The preproduction prototypes that saw use at the very end of the war were in a completely different caliber and the rifles looked completely different.

The m1919 was referred to as the annihilator John Thompson was hoping to profit off world war. He tried making a" trenchbroom” but the design was finalized after the war. ended. The model in the game is actually the Annihilator prototype.

I remember later in Battlefield 1, when I was the sniper class, I would rarely use scoped weapons and I instead mostly used iron sight rifles like the Mosin Nagant, and the Venti

The M60 family of machine guns was produced from 1957 to present the later models the E3 and E4 were made in the late 90s but yeah it is the oldest gun. I do like how they did add prototype weapons in the game which is nice.

Fun fact the m60 was based off the German mg42 lmg and you can see this similarity when you are unloading them the top hatch were the ammo is feeder through is the exact same and some internal parts are as well

By the way the weapons you used in BF2042 work their best if you get Headshots, the GVT and Rorch-MK4 on sniper mode, both of them are one shot kill on the head at any distance
The rorch also has insane muzzle velocity, and used to be able to damage heavy tanks

The most futuristic "gun" in Battlefield 1 is its depiction of the Villar-Perosa. It's based on a movie prop from the 1970s, and it's made from two Beretta M38A SMGs, an MG42 pistol grip and trigger group, and a Bren foregrip. Some other post-WW1 weapons from Battlefield 1 are the Autoloading 8 .25 Extended, the M24 Stielhandgranate (Stick Grenade/Anti-Tank Grenade), the Limpet Charge, and of course the other Early Enlister weapons Tbag didn't mention.

The wooden Lance of the bf1 cavalary is even older than the sword. Probably one of the first weapons of mankind

I remember getting the legendary gold skin for martini Henry but since I had just started the game it took me 3 months to unlock it, the skin (which was my first legendary) sat in there the whole time

Actually the M1919 was made in 1918. Pretty much all issues recognized in early development had been solved, so prototypes were going to be ship[ed to Europe in 1918 for front-line testing, a decently common practice if I remember correctly. However the shipment was available at the soonest, November 13th…we all know what happened on November 11th. In fact the “M1919” name is misleading, as the newly renamed Thompson didn’t even go into production until 1921, and also only first saw governmental combat in 1921 with the West Virginia State Police.
I just wanted to point this (what I believe to be) inaccuracy out.

A TON of weapons used in both World Wars were designed in the 19th Century. The Gewehr 98 was developed in 1898, the Mosin-Nagant was developed in 1891, the Lebel 1886 says it on the tin, etc.
