@@johnames6430 Yeah but previous games seem nothing comparable to Hogwarts legacy. There is a whole new lot of places to explore and "real-life-sized" rooms for the castle which will be full of subtulities never seen in other harry potter games.

@@Draiko- Quidditch would take developing a full AI for all the characters, and designing engaging gameplay for each of the positions. They probably decided it would be too much work on top of everything already in the game. I won't be surprised if they announced a full on Quidditch game if this is a success

Becoming a master in Herbology and attacking people with plant creatures is something I never knew I needed in a Harry Potter game, but I'm so glad it's here.

I'm afraid though that some things don't look as epic IMO as they should/could.....for example no fast pace as you ride the broom or the hippogriff for example....I hope they just showed it like that to keep the anticipation exciting! the combats also looked a bit clumsy tbh......

This seems extremely ambitious. Hopefully they have the resources and passion to completely polish the open world, and the multitude of systems that they revealed in this trailer.
Agreed, it looks bigger and better than I ever expected. I just hope they manage to fully implement everything by release, and that gameplay won't devolve into repetitive busywork, as often happens with current open-world games. Now that this reveal is out, we actually have something tangible to talk about, and the expectations will inevitably skyrocket.
I don't think this is extremely ambitious, it's an rpg, so naturally, there's loads of stuff in it. I do think that it looks ambitious to those who aren't into rpgs.

Plus the other hp games from wb all have the romance feature. But i do agree with u that i don't think it'll be a feature this time, as they already said there's the "friendship feature"

@R10 LOL It doesn't have to be revolutionary graphics It looks amazing already and fantastic enough. And the game isn't even out yet. The graphics don't have to be "next-gen", the art direction is the most important part of it all with makes games look fantastic to this day because of the art aesthetics of the characters/world. THAT'S what's important.

And the game isn’t nearly as big and complicated as the others. Ye the experience wasn’t that bad but really bad compared to the complexity

At 7:10 you can see the character 'apparate' as a dodge or dash function. I wonder if there is a dark version for those characters pursuing the Dark Arts, as the differentiation of the colors was a very thematic element in the films.

Create your character, choose an element + starting village then explore from there. Maybe everyone gets a different animal/mount etc. Would be cool if the player chose participate in the war or not - enlist as a fire nation soldier, join a resistance and become a freedom fighter, or just live peacefully open up a fish market or something to avoid conflict. Just wanna exist in that world.
I hope theres some transfiguration magic, havent seen much yet, be dope to transform into an animal for stealth

@@robertchmielecki2580 Seems more like a light rpg. I assume you'll be able to essentially create spell load outs to have whatever moves you want, same with potions etc. Might be light on the aspects you mentioned but you never know I guess. man this has me excited.

I've never been more excited for a game in my life. This is the Harry Potter (ish!) game I dreamed about as a kid! The fact that you can use brooms to fly around the whole map is incredible, and the magic system looks stunning and very detailed. I'm a bit peeved that you can't apparently have a Ravenclaw companion (only from the other three Houses), though.

Making your own character and getting your own house, makes me really exicted for this game because I really like custom character games since it makes people's playthrough of it more unique
It also makes it so much better for a gamer to feel like he’s actually tied into the character since it’s your own creation, And the decisions you choose in the game are based on those of your preferences, which is also great

They never mentioned how your wand is decided, I wonder if you get to customize it too, with different woods and cores affecting the stats of various spells.

I really like how all the professors are new ones. It makes the game a lot more interesting and more fun to meet and get to know the new faces. Cannot wait for the game!!!

There is the old game from 2007 I think which you can play on the Nintendo Wii it’s the order of the phoenix game I used to play it every day as a kid and you could explore the school.

@@slickspidey I think the OP assumes what many of us do, and figures the combat shown was made deliberately slow so we could see the basics of how it functions without having to watch a massive light show as spells are flung from all sides.
The combat may very well be plodding and unfun to actually engage in, but hopefully it isn't. Plus, it does look like the player character is truly a duelist.

It was probably on easy mode for demonstration purposes. There will likely be difficulty setting, I hope its challenging

I honestly can’t tell you the last time a trailer has made me more hype for a game. This game is a love letter to anyone who knows pretty much anything about Harry Potter. It looks so unique and has such an amazing style. We finally are getting a full on wizarding world to explore and I can’t wait to get completely lost in it

This might seem like a weird thing to focus on, but the thing that got me most excited for this game is the fact that you can use the unforgivable curses, that makes me wonder if you have the option to play as a dark wizard, and from the way the trailer went about it thats what it seems like to me.
Well, as Dumbledore teached us, the possibility to use them shows your character. It's about to have the option. It's always your decisions who define who you are and want to be.

@@denmanfite3156 I think the Reasoning is that we already know what the Modern Wizarding World is like, we know what a Wizarding World looks like when heading towards WW2, But never have we experienced The Wizarding World under the 1800's and in the Victorian Era, It allows us to experience much more, stuff that was probably destroyed so no future student can find what is in this game. There is a lot to take in, and a lot to experience, and a lot to explore with this world with it being a prequel to the Potter Saga.

I've never gotten into the Harry Potter books or the movies so I don't know anything about it, but I might have to pick this game up when it comes out. Looks incredibly fun. Looks like a great game to chill out and sink a lot of time into
Open world, dynamic seasons, companions(hope there's more than 3!) attend and interact the classes.... They did EVERYTHING.

I mean we've seen the Gryffindor and Slytherin common room in the past from the Chamber of Secrets game from 2002. The Slytherin common room in Hogwarts Legacy actually looks pretty similar to the one from the Chamber of Secrets game from 20 years ago.
