Couples 10 and 109 are my favorites.
10's movement was very free. A good combination of Standard and Smooth. It looks more Italian-style than Russian/English style.
109 was very creative. Especially the "box" step they do in the middle of the floor.

The first couple, Maxim and Kira! Natural turn! beautiful! Great timing! I want to be able to do it too! !
A great basic performances by the young dancers. With only few basic syllabus allowed, the postures, timing, uniformity and smooth transitions are clearly presented and observed. Notice the closing of 4 feet at the same time like two-in-one, it shows good timing of both dancers. This is another good job by Russian modern ballroom teachers.

Pure Harmony, a wonderful dance, a flight of a soul. It is powerful! it is extrodinary! It is an excellence!
Excellent, very beautiful movement by the first couple, Maksim and Kira. (She in white dress.)
This couple has a very good timing, hitting the 1 beat with full weight, and exactly on time.
And slows beautifully in closing on 3 (Natural Turn), marking the end of bar.
They have a very good balance, and he has his weight forward.
I also think the second couple, Nikita and Valeria, is exceptionally beautiful. (She in light yellow dress.)
She is SO beautiful with her head, and her feet, and her "oneness" with him, and her musicality.
And all of this is possible by a perfect man, with perfect balance. This young couple can reach No 1 in the world.
I would argue that stepping exactly on 1 is a flaw as none of the world's top dancers do this and for good reason. Not hitting exactly on 1 doesn't mean they have worse rhythm, but rather they just have a more sophisticated one. The top dancers usually land their feet about a quarter of a beat after the "1" which evenly splits the time between step 3 (for a 3 step figure) which is typically halfway between beats 3 and 1 and step 2 which is on beat 2.

The first thing I thought about when Russia announced the start of conscription is these amazing dancers. Does Russia exclude national treasures like these men? Or will some of them be shipped to the front line?

Men are tall, handsome and in good shape/posture....ladies are elegant....!
Overall I would have liked to see more Collections of the body weight in between the counting 3 and 1. CBMP is good for some couples a little too much, some not enough.
Lady is always on the right-hand side of the men when walking off and walking on the floor.
All in all. The couple who mostly maintained their position Was the last couple (lady in red). Very nice to watch, NICE closing feet. Just the right CBMP.

Unfortunately not. But the Basic Step Tango will be at the Russian Championship 2023
@@BallroomDanceSportTube what does Russia consider the Basic Steps? In the US we have Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
My teacher and I are now competing in the US using only Bronze and Silver steps, with no choreography. It's very fun and allows for improvisation based on the song, floor, and traffic.
