- Deep under the earth the leagues of Votann have dug greedily into the crust of this planet. The cacophony of heavy duty equipment siphoning the planets mineral riches has awoken the terrifying presence of the Tyranids. For thousands of years this hive fleet splinter had slumbered, but now its ravenous hunger has been unleashed.The tunnels of this dig site now writhe with the skittering masses of the great devourer. The Leagues of Votann make a valiant last stand, priming explosives to seal these horrors away.Will the Leagues make a daring escape, or will they become bio mass for the hives consumption.

Von Ryan's Leapers were a gaunt sub-species mentioned in the 3rd edition codex. They weren't in the game at that point but were in the lore as a vicious predator that maybe got separated from their Hive Fleet and evolved by themselves. The name is probably a reference to Von Ryan's Expess, an old war movie.

Hands down the best, most fun 40k channel anywhere! I feel this is one of the greatest yet, not at all because I'm biased towards Votann or Nids, never, but because this crew made an incredible narrative, had a blast from start to end and those amazing edits never miss! XD

How did I not notice the beautiful skull painted on Ol' One Eye's carapace until @57:31 !? So gorgeous (like the creepy skull cockroaches from The Silence of the Lambs crossed with the artwork on the side of a cool 80's van)!!!!

know part of what makes Sagitaurs so great? When you give them the Sagitaur missile launcher, they ALSO get the bonus LR missile launcher :)

You should try the horde mode game mode made by poorhammer, it’s very similar to this with the “oncoming swarm” thing you guys did!

When it shifted to an ‘epic universe’ for the bonk, I thought it would play a squeaky toy sound. Funny either way, though.
Damn. Love the paint jobs on the minis. I'm building a Tyranid army and was considering the same color scheme as yours.
Would love it if you popped some rules up on screen when you talk about them - not all, but things you chat about… like tank shock in this one, would be super useful for new player.

Berserks can not charge after the Sagitaur moved. ALthough they could have disembarked and have a longer charge either way. Awesome batrep btw

Quite possibly a big trick missed here as the Tervigon ought to have been regenerating Termagants I think?
I think there was only one turn where a Termagant unit was partially wounded so I don't think it would have made too much of a difference, as the Tervigon can only regenerate models to one existing squad 🙂
I'd be interested to find out when they were devising this game. How did they land on how many points the tyranids could place down a turn?

Is this with the new points update?
Yes, but as this is narrative it's not really relevant to this game as it's a narrative 😅 I just took every LoV model we had in the studio, and James took the Tyranid models he thought looked cool, we didn't really count points
