The people from Arabia didn't pronounce “Sindhu” (the river), so when then came to our country for the first time, then named the people residing beside the Sindhu river as “Hindu”, since then the word hindu was born.
In our purans & scriptures, it is mentioned that everyone belongs to one Dharm, which is Sanatan, but “Hindu”, “Muslim”, “Christian”, etc. are human made so called “Dharmas”.
One more thing, as like we call the Sun as “Surya”, The moon as “Chandra”, different country’s people call the supreme personality as “Allah”, “God”, “Bhagwan”, etc. BUT all of them worship one single adi purus, who is the creator of all these exists.
In our scriptures, it is said that Muslim can become Hindu or Hindu can become in the next time they born in this world, 'cause all of these so called dharms are human made.

The point he makes at 13:33 clearly proves that ancient Indians were aware of a lot of modern concepts of science. Even if the characters are fictitious(just in case), still someone was able to imagine these concepts and bind them into these stories. Great video! Please keep making them. I believe the problem lies in the textbooks we studied in schools. Nobody ever taught us these things in Ancient India history book of NCERT.

For example I don't think European children are taught how their scientists from 13th century began solving problems relating to science and maths, history is different and taught differently, but yeah I agree ncert too should be updated as there's a lot of scope for improvement

Every ritual in hinduism has a scientific explanation to it. For e.g. why shouldn't you eat facing south direction? Bcz vastu says, Southern part of home has toilet and you should not face it while eating as you will have more chances of getting germs from that direction. The only problem with our elders is they don't explain everything in detail or may not know all these things as well. However, the current generation has easy access to information, so we should try to base our beliefs on the balance of rituals and facts by listening to elders and reading/ researching why they tell us to do so.
