Great content!! Love seeing your videos! Try amplifying the sound
Totally agreeing with your comments, I had to turn up the volume all the way in my headphones, the problem was when an ad started and the volume all the way up my ears almost blew up.
When using the pallet truck, try and push it all the way into the pallet, especially on a standard ISO pallet (EuroPAL’s are a different ball game) that will move the turning point further back, and make it easier to steer.
Another useful tip, is you can steer with the handle in the upright position if pushing a pallet backwards like that, makes it so much easier to do.
Other random info, the red pallet is from LPR (La Palette Rouge), the brown one is from IPP (International Pallet Pooling) and the blue one is a CHEP (Commonwealth Handling and Equipment Pool, operated by GKN here in the UK)
The dimensions of these pallets are mainly governed by two ISO standards, ISO 6780 and ISO 445.
I love youtube
@@m9workshop yup, me too 🙂
You Palletmiester
Great stuff! Bringing out 3D renders to help visualize the lights situation is cool!
Maybe a coffee or 2 before the voiceover would be beneficial. Nothing bad about showing a little excitement about what your doing. Show the passion that you obviously have that spurs you on to do all this work by yourself & motivates you to get up in the morning.
Sorry to be the ahole in the comments but it set the vibe as depressing for me.
Other than that, as iv said in the past videos im a sucker for a workshop renovation & you do great work. Can’t wait to see you build some stuff!!👍🏼
I think it's the tiredness of getting all this done as a side project to my day to day business that's coming through in the audio 😂 but I appreciate the feedback, will work on it!
It's a pleasure being in on a new channel like this. A new shop start up and looking forward to not only the final result, (is there such a thing when fitting out a work shop?), but what projects you'll be working on with all that gear! Good luck mate.
Alright - who can guess what the new machine is 👀
I know the audio still isn't 100% - I've bought some new equipment but it didn't arrive in time for the footage that makes up this video. Bear with me til next one! Thanks for watching.
A giant planner maybe
I see you've already gotten some good advice here in the comments, but if you want some extra, I'm an audio engineer and would be happy to lend you an ear 👍
Is it the machine that goes "ping"?
Is it an air jet or waterjet cutting machine?
Congratulations on the fast subscription rate. Great video again. I’m guessing it’s a Martin panel saw
This is a great series. I'm looking forward to your future installments.
One request, if it's not too much trouble; please turn up the volume on your microphone, since it's quite hard to hear you. I turn up the volume on my computer, but then, when commercials interrupt you, they are very loud.
Very glad I stumbled onto this channel. Really looking forward to following along. Keep up the great content. And thanks.
Can’t wait to watch this proceed, looks like great content!
Man what an amazing channel with the 3D graphics and all I’m in love it’s so inspiring
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
@@m9workshop my pleasure man I always love a new upcoming channel and an amazing one at that
We are excited for what’s to come. 🎉
Quick comment to improve video quality: Your audio is very low compared to other videos on CZcams. You may think that's not a big deal, since people can turn up their volume etc., but consistency is more important. In my situation, your video is still a bit quiet at 100%, while I watch other videos at 30%. Now usually that's not an issue, until you forget to turn down the volume when starting a new video, or when you have a notification (on PC) play during the video. Those will be pretty darn loud. I'd highly recommend trying to match up the volume of your videos to a couple of random videos on YT to see if you're at a comparable volume. Maybe YT even has a system for that? I don't know.
Obviously, this is just my opinion and you can do with it whatever you like.
No you’re right. I’ve been given some tips on how to improve it which I’ll work into the next one 👍🏻 thanks for watching!
@@m9workshop Watching is the easy bit, uploading and all that comes before that is a lot harder, so thank you.
What a transformation! I thought the picture in the thumbnail was for a different channel. Keep up the hard work. Its coming together great.
I'm really glad you used Wagos.
congrats on 5k
5k / 10k / 100k / 1m let's go!
Episode 3 yes lets gooo
cant wait for next episode
PS
move the compressor tank in the corner right away when you're done with everything else
especially if you not 100% sure about its condition inside / number of cycles
every compressor tank is ticking bomb , and with this size .... it will literally "blow you into pieces" 😅
haha - the safety factor on this compressor is crazy. The internal pressure vessel is rated at nearly 3x the pressure the compressor could ever achieve. But don't worry, it'll only be run up for a handful of hours before the new plant room is ready and by then we'll have the full service kit and new belts etc 👍 thanks for watching
@@m9workshop thats nice to have one of these , probably originally designed for gas storage or for industrial heat pumps (i myself use one ...rated to 30 bars with changing pressure all the time) should last lifetime with +/- 10 bars :D
nice content
if you want to stop the leaks on the metal roof dont use flexseal, you alsan or a purpose made sealer
Good shout, but sadly the roof itself is water tight. Our issue is condensation on the metal roof skin dripping down onto the internal skin. It’s best if we let it just do its thing and evaporate out for the few months of the year it’ll be a problem 👍🏻
@@m9workshop Only cure for that is underlay beneath the metal roof--should have been done when it was installed--only way to do it now is to take the metal off, lay the underlay over the purlins, and refit the metal. Really, that's something the landlord is responsible for.
So what exactly will you be making in here? I know basically nothing about this business but find it interesting
Thanks for the lighting explanation. I'm at the design stage for my first workshop (in a steel frame barn), and everything you've covered so far has been helpful! What's the software you use for your rendering & animation?
Blender!
@@m9workshop thanks so much for replying. I'm ok with sketchup so I'll look into importing stuff into Blender. Always another learning hurdle to climb 🤣 Thanks again
@@emmaslow I won't lie to you, Blender is not the easiest software to get started with and you'll tear your hair out a few times by how hard some things that are simple in Sketchup seem to be in blender. But if you can stick with it it's far more capable for rendering
@DerekElliott has some great videos on Blender 👍
@@m9workshop thanks for the caution! I'll give it a go & see 🤞
Nice work! Always good to see a workshop being built. I read in the comments you're already working on the audio. I have some experience in that field and I'd recommend applying some light compression and then bringing the level up, 10dB or so more wouldn't hurt. Something else I've noticed is that you do your voice-over in a very low voice where you don't really produce a full, round tone. Speaking with more volume might help with intelligibility because to speak louder the pitch must go up a bit. I'd love to see which sliding panel saw you got, I'm hoping to buy one myself before the summer. If it needs air it's probably a pretty sweet machine :)
Man this is super helpful, thank you very much!
The sliding panel saw is pretty old, but it's compact and that's what I needed for this space. I'm going to try and do a machine tour section for the next video!
Are you slightly concerned about the wobble of your air tank on a pallet? I get having it maneuverable, but is there a chance it could topple? In US terms it appears ever so slightly janky.
Not really - it literally can't fall over because the pipe connection between the compressor and the tank is so solid and the compressor weighs about 1/3 of a ton. I put a couple lags through the tank feet back into the pallet, and when I do move it again I'll throw a ratchet strap around it for belts and braces :)
My life at work
The generation that got rid of tubes and put in led .......i wonder what the next system will be
So what are your plans for content in the new build?
Now we're getting machines in, I'll be adding some joinery and cabinet making content into the channel. The new machine will heavily feature too, once that comes!
@@m9workshop give us a tour of the machinery!
@@laurentiustanea7840 sure! can work that into the next video 👍
Did you buy the building or are you renting? If it's your building, you get a paint for the outside of the roof called frogskin. That should sort out your leaks
Only rented, sadly
something with an air cooled spindle... so... a CNC?
Ha!.. I was right!
Hey brother. Your narration is super low. Just an fyi. Love your content
You deserve the subscribers, good content pays off.
There is only one problem though...the audio. In my case i am forced to turn the volume to max to be able to hear you and then the add kicks at a abnormaly high volume and its very disgusting.
You're 100% right. Got a new mic setup I'll be trying out for the next one and putting some time into learning how to level audio properly. Let me know how I do in the next one!
It's baffling that a property owner, assumably your landlord, wouldn't want to make the roof water tight. Such a great space otherwise.
The problem is, the roof is watertight, but the construction doesn’t account for condensation on the interior face of the metal roof. It’s not an easy fix, and one that’s easier to deal with after the fact the few months a year it’s an issue
@@m9workshop That makes a ton of sense. Old chicken house, no vapor barrier, just metal roof then an air gap and paneling. I bet it gets sweaty like a pint glass on a hot day.
@@uncannyvalleywoods7248 You got it! and then when the condensation rolls down the roof it hits the purlins on the way down. Nowhere left for it to go but to soak through the edges of the panels
@@m9workshop Not an easy one to deal with, the landlord could retro fit roof vents which would help. The only other ways are to use dehumidifiers, to reduce the moisture or allow for more air circulation. Can windows be fitted with with vents?
Is that going to be an issue with building wooden furniture in, won’t that mean your joints will open up once out of said sweaty shed?
Great content, but fix the audio or talk louder, cheers
Like the videos, but please speak up when commentating. The low gritty voice is not enjoyable
I feel the same way
vocal fry workshop, great job/production otherwise
I am learning that audio is real hard. Have just invested in some new wireless lapel mics to make capturing better sound in the shop, but didn’t have them in time for this videos content. Thanks for bearing through it 👍🏻
It’s your audio we can barely hear you
can you do all this without voice over ? like your first video you put up? Do you really need to explain how to paint...show a frame with the paint bucket, tools , and stuff and ... like your first video.
Couldn't watch without fast forwarding. The pace was just to slow and boring.
appreciate the feedback my man 👍
