That game was 2 miraculous plays away from being so much closer. That play, and the pass to Hill in the 1st quarter. KC is winning this game with the O-Line they had in 2021, Mahomes had 2 Backup Tackles that were bad all game long.

Last years SB itself could have it's own video. Mahomes had the greatest SB performance for a QB ever that the stat sheet won't show.
If you take the positive plays. But he also set an NFL record of scrambles when not being pressured. That´s not good.

Patrick Mahomes is the best at something that no one else is good at. He's basically playing quarterback and shortstop at the same time, which is an amazing feat that goes against what most people think is possible.
I remember watching that Falcons preseason game in 2018 when he threw that bomb to Hill. I've been a Chiefs fan since '92, and that throw was the moment when I knew this dude was unlike any QB I'd seen in KC. I was excited for the possibility of a SB appearance for the first time in 50 years, but I had no clue just how good he would be.
I was waiting on that play vs my Saints we had one of the best defenses I’ve seen in 12 years and Pat just outplayed 11 pros by himself
He has clutchness and poise like brady, escape ability like lamar or prime wilson, arm talent like arod and accuracy among the best. Mahomes is the most talented and gifted QB ever and will go down as 1 of the best ever.

As a Chiefs fan going into that game I knew there was very little chance to win. The only starting OL playing his original position was the center Austin Reiter. Three starters were out and Andrew Wylie had to flip from guard to LT that game. Every single Chiefs offensive lineman that game was a backup level lineman against the best pass rush in football that year.

I just hope Mahomes can learn new play style when time goes on. I mean he is fast and can do very very good throws even when he is going down and that is amazing. But he will get older, slower and whit his current play style he will get injured for sure. I hope when he gets older he could learn some kind of hybrid of his current style and becoming better in pocket. He is amazing player and we have now so many young talented qb's in the league that i would hate to see one of them careers to cut out short because they couldn't evolve and find new ways to play.

The outside pass rushers really need to learn to contain the pocket. Mahomes getting outside of the pocket and running towards the sideline is where is he mostly creates those crazy plays.
The reason why some people have criticism of Mahomes is because they’re likely fans of a team who doesn’t have him on their team’s roster cept the team that they’ll ever get lucky and have him on their favorite team is their fantasy team.
They have what I’m now calling the Tom Brady syndrome cause some people were like that towards Tom Brady for a while till he got washed up and they turned to Mahomes.
