Those last lines really touched my heart. I can remember the first time from college my friends took me to a restaurant, don't know it's about it's stars but it's really well decorated. I was so nervous that I can't even speak and regularly checking my wallet and price from the menu, counting notes regularly 😂😂.

আমারও ইচ্ছে হয় মাঝে মাঝে যে, এই hotelগুলোর ভেতরে কী আছে সেটা দেখার, কিন্তু আজ পর্যন্ত কোনোদিন সুযোগ পায়নি, হয়তো পরে নিজে রোজকার করে বাবা-মা আর বোনকে সাথে নিয়ে যাবো। সে যাই হোক, দুটো episode পুরো দেখলাম, infact, সবকটা episodeই পুরোটাই দেখি.... কিন্তু এই episodeর শেষের কথা গুলো অনেক দিন মনে থাকবে! ধন্যবাদ, foodka!!

If you choose subscriber then think again that what a common man requires. He will spend his hard earned money. So he expects brutally honest review not the politically correct or diplomatic answer... It may turnish some hoteliers image but at the end of the day you will get satisfaction because you have taken the side of truth....... Mir da with lot of love and expectation looking forward for next style of video..... I have deep belief on your capability...............

'The River' ; 'Missing You' and so on and so forth: these lilting repertoires of Late Ananda Shankar and the astounding inaugural dance recitals of his wife Tanusree Shankar to these tunes at many city pandals or Hemanta Mukhopadhyay's Puja releases somehow or the other had defined the oeuvres of Puja down the decades in our Calcutta.
But cut to this 2020 - rightfully coined as 'annus horribilis' owing to the agonising onslaught of Covid - things just have turned lachrymal with no succour coming anywhere close to us.
And with this pall of gloom looming large out here, Foodka's secession at the star hotels has left us bemused and bewildered alike. Their rendezvous now redefines a greater degree of hedonism and that too during a time when the refulgence of Puja has turned so astonishingly pale and nebulous.
Anyway, an attempt can fairly be made: you people can again reignite the charm of Shankar's 'Chowringhee' - either on papyrus or on celluloid. Sounds good ?
Post Script: The penultimate part of this video - when Mir dwells heavily on his humble submission for not being a part of the swish-sets during his early days - epitomises the actuality to an extent. But the façade of north Calcutta's Marble Palace of 1835 vintage - having formed the silhouette on the wall - effortlessly belies all such tall claims, I guess.
