After the heartbreaking story of Rosa the Staffy yesterday, it's good to see a story with a happy ending. I love the way Gary nearly wiggled out of Kate's arms because he was sooo excited to see his mama again. ❤️
I had a dog called Rosa who got hit by a car and sadly passed away
@@Flowerplex 💔
We’re also still recovering from yesterday's video 😢 But so glad today's video could put a smile on your face ☺❤
Agreed
@@BondiVet I'll never forget Rosa's joyful kisses, the way she crawled across the grass with a look of total happiness on her face. Thank you for doing all you could for her, and of course for Gary as well. ❤️
As a Doxie owner, I can confirm, they will indeed eat ANYTHING!!!
My doxie used to love love bananas! Even the strings on it. Silly sausage!
Years ago, I adopted a Doxie who had swallowed a dime, before I got him. After an endoscopy I am the proud owner of a $900 corroded dime.
Oh yes
I can imagine how scared and worried these owners are whenever they bring their fur babies into the vet, good job to Kate and her team for helping this little cutie💕😊
Vets are stressful for both pets and owners 😂 But Dr Kate did such an amazing job❤
Such a cutie, glad he was okay
Because of a story like this ... we always have to pay attention to what our dogs put in their mouths 💕💕🙏
So true! 🐶
Ugh he's so cute- his little face
I just love Gary....He is the CUTEST Daschound I have every seen! Adorable!
Poor little sausage dog glad he got the help he needed!
Gary is a gorgeous handsome little dachshund
I love the way Australians pronounce the word dachshund. Because they pronounce it with the word - in front of it. And it's not pronounced like that it's not spelled like that. But I love how they pronounce it because of their accent.
Badger hound, that's what it means in German, that's why they can be stubborn!
@@zarachastellaris9016 they were bred to hunt badgers. Stubbornness comes standard with most dogs.
Love watching these clips. We need more vets like you guys in U.S
YES WE DO ! 🇺🇲
Im sorry if I offended you. I meant in my neck of the woods. I know there are great vets every where
Thank you! 🙌 We enjoy bringing them to you
@@carolynwalker8478 you really need to retract this statement because it will set off a bunch of people. we just aren't all on TV.
Gary is a beautiful english cream dach. What ever it takes to make him well.
Thank you for the information about his colouring, I was wondering about it. He is an exceptionally beautiful boy, and I can imagine just how feathery soft those ears are!
@@katbairwell my boy is a rust colored long hair. He has had some kind of mental trauma before I got him, so he is quite skidish. He trusts me completely, my wife a little bit, and kids really spook him. He sleeps with me, and when I'm asleep he will attack anyone who he thinks might harm me. He is still a wonderful companion though.
@@royyoung3456 Oh poor sweetheart! I am so glad he found a loving family who can support him, and help him move forward from his past trauma. He is lucky to have you, bless you for your kindness
@@katbairwell I absolutely love that boy to death. I watch these videos, and give him hugs even more. He is my second dash. My first boy had been returned to the breeder for some reason be fore I got him. He went with me every where. Unfortunately my current dasch dose not like going for a ride. He is content being in the safety of his yard, so I let him stay home.
Dr. Kate looks so natural in this episode.
It's so scary when your pup is sick. This little guy is so beautiful. I love his ears they look so silky. Bondi Vet's are the best. Love from Texas in America 🙃☕❤❤
This is an old clip from Dec that just dropped as recommended ...
Why don't we see more of you Dr Kate???
Miss you 😢
Oh Gary I'm so glad your ok baby boy
Just ❤️ Dr. Kate! I think Gary ate sand on purpose, just to be able to see Dr. Kate…lol!
She is precious and is a lot like her mom in appearance. I think Gary has a crush 😍
He has such a sweet face🤗💗
I am glad Gary got better. I know what it's like having a dog that's a scavenger. My Cleo thinks everything on the floor during walks is food. I've had her nearly 11 years and I couldn't train it out of her. And there's only so many times I can pry her jaws open to stop her from swallowing inedible things. So now she wears a muzzle. It was a last resort but at least now she cannot attempt to eat broken glass, cooked chicken bones from people's takeaways, chewing gum that someone spat out, ice lolly sticks... The list is endless.
i love you guys
I just love these episodes on Disney Plus, Especially the love shown and the care given is so heartwarming, Look forward to more new episodes soon.
So glad all went well with Gary and he went home to his family💓
Whew! I was sweating bullets over Gary. I have a dachshund mix rescue. They're something else!
Stay safe y'all and healthy.
Ele adorou a dra Kate! Ficou agradecido!💞🐶
Another outstanding job done by Dr Kate, and her staff!! Thanks for taking us with you. That a boy, Gary!!
Never thought I'd spend a few minutes of my life rooting for a dog that is not my own to poop, but here we are.
Thank god Gary past the 💩 and got rid of the sand 🙏🏽 well done Kate 👏🏻💖😀XX
Gary, it really was scary for the owner when surgery was mentioned. But, the vet team was rooting Gary on to go poop and he did. It was really good that Gary was checked up on at the ⛱.
Silly boy decided to eat something he’ll probably now know not to eat again!
poor baby. When she said an ice cream carton I figured he was trying to eat it off the sand and just ended up eating that instead!
I have 2 daxie crosses and they are amazing little dogs. (1 isnt a foodie at all....the other one is a dustbin who will try and eat anything and everything!LOL)
Literally the cutest dashund I’ve ever seen
Dogs will be dogs and their food eating habits will always get them in trouble sadly, he is t the first & for sure won’t be the last.
Yes, it's not at all the dog's fault - the smells of human foods are irresistible, that is why owners must be ever watchful!
*Anna :* _"I'm in shock..."_
*Kate :* _"He could die from this."_
*Anna :* _"Well, you don't have to sugarcoat it on my account."_
_"You can tell me how you REALLY FEEL!"_ 😶
p.s. better listen to the doc.
I cannot grip whether these people are Australian or English. I’m just 🤯
Every episode the accents vary and just when I think I have it. I lose it.
he looks so sheepish🤣
Poor Gary
Love Dr Kate!!!! 🥰
Gary wasn't half hungry for some food after finally passing that sand!
I understand eating things like chocolate and onions... but sand? s a n d ? whats appealing about sand-
It was saturated with ice cream!
Poor Gary !
Dr. Kate so pretty...❤
And so preciuos
I just cannot understand why people are so against surgery. Obviously you don’t go there unless you have to, but which do you prefer - surgery, or a dead dog? A dog usually recovers incredibly quickly too. We have a chihuhua who is really tiny, about 5llbs in weight, and she had to have a hysterectomy for a closed pyometra, (which presented with no obvious symptoms). She had a 50% chance of surviving, but the day after her operation, you wouldn’t have thought anything had happened. We had the devil of a job to keep her quiet and calm, she just wanted to get on with things as usual!!
Not every animal makes it through surgery alive! Getting put under is high risk! Also several develop infections after surgery. Also it's very expensive and many people didn't plan for these types of expenses when they get pets. Very glad that your pet did so well!!!
The chance of him passing some sand with some helpful liquids the vets could give him was very high despite what the wording in this clip might imply. Trying that before thinking about surgery for something like that is the smart thing. Because surgery of intestines is very tricky due to the infection risks (on top of other risks that come with any surgery). It's simply not worth the risk for a specific case like this.
If it had been something that was more likely to get stuck (like a big ball) or more likely to hurt the intestinal walls (like sharp bones or glass) the decision would have fallen to surgery for sure.
surgeries on animals can be very, very expensive, so that would be one big reason not to go through with it
From watching far too many get shows (😁), they always prefer to see if swallowed stuff will pass with some waiting first , as surgery in that area is so tricky.
I lov Kate she's so Buitifull n great attitude she's my Fav 🌹😍💖
I feel so bad for that lil fur baby
Of course right awat
Silly boy shouldn’t eat anything off the ground unless it’s dog food on a clean floor. We do it all the time at my place with our smaller dog. Clean floor, only dog food and human foods that dogs *CAN* tolerate.
Years of study, thousands of dollars in vet school tuition, watch dog poo. LOL
Common good girl, you can do it if you believe! Oh stay here with me.... I will always wait for you and love you and care for your forever through winter, summer, spring, and fall.... I hope you will always be happy because all you need is friendship, love, companionionship, guardianship, mentor ship.... Hope you will be well cared for even if I lived so far away.... I still love you so
Gary and Dr Kate look like they go to the same hairstylist. I'd be tempted to fly to Australia to utilize whoever that is if I could afford it.
This JUST happened to me and my little longhaired doxie girl, Polllyann....who looks exactly like Gary, except she is 17 years old!!! 5 weeks ago I caught her eating sand at the beach and stopped her...twice. She actually must have passed the sand through her intestines, as it was the following day that she refused to eat breakfast, then vomited her dinner from the night before. She would NOT have survived surgery at her age. I was freaked. She's been my whole world AND my service dog all her life. But x-rays at the emergency vet showed her colon was full of sand...she was placed on I.V. fluids, staying overnight, and was successfully flushed out!!! My little angel is still on a half and half bland diet of chicken and rice with regular dog food, the kind for digestive health, as we await the absence of soft poos a few days in a row. She is one amazing, tough little girl, and is finally doing well. Her 17th birthday is in 2 weeks!!!!! I am so grateful for the vet. Due to Covid, I had to wait 2 days in the parking lot, a 90-minute drive from home, and couldn't see her till it was all over. I am thrilled she is fine! A friend sent me this video and it took me 3 days to finally watch it....bad memories!
Cats get chicken and dogs get tinned food? 😂 injustice!!!
Nice ❤
What a cutie (Gary) looks like my dog
Icecream would melt
I gagged when I saw the poo XD,I’m glad he got that out though!(:
Great vet but totally picking up a dachshund in the complete incorrect way = chest and bum, can't stress enough, chest and bum scoop!.
Love these shows though I do appreciate them, thank you very much for sharing them.
Eech ! Im having my breakfast !
I subscribed thank you
Gary is a very handsome boy, a bit dumb but wonderful coat and colour.
Omg...i caught my mid.age.dog.eating something weird yeaterday..u never know about.dogs...after jer.eating something that gave her pancreatitis i keep a.close eye on Her but they can do it.faster than toddlers
never thought I'd be so happy to see anyone poo
But dog has bow obstruction with that require surgery and also your very nice video excellent
are these two gals. like, twins ? both even have facial characteristics of dr. Chris.
Wow in the thumbnail the sand in the intestine actually looks like a sausage (im sorry that's mean-)
Could eating sand be a sign something is wrong? Like when dogs eat grass?
Why how
Kittens can get this eating clumping litter. Don't use clumping litter with kittens
♥️♥️
Question: Why would the Dachshund eat sand... or was it kitty litter like that?
There was probably some kind of tasty liquid all over it that made him just choke it down. On a beach, anything would be possible. There was talk about ice cream in the beginning of the clip so that might very well have been what soaked the sand and made him think it's edible.
Ben ik de enige die vindt dat deze 2 vrouwen op elkaar lijken alsof het tweeling zussen zijn?
This also means she doesn't really walk her dog
Bondi vet help gery
Giggle, vets cheer for animals pooping.
He ate sand....? Why?
He isn't the smartest, but he sure is cute.
But it was mostly because it has icecream in it
I would like them to be opened up
Martin Laura Thomas David Taylor Carol
They really need to learn to edit.

Dr Kate is beautiful dont ya think They are all beautiful but theres some thing different about Kate
This the satest video on bondi vet I've ever seen
