      @@MrOznek10 They work fine with the Kessil controller but they have to be manually setup. Nicrew released a HyperReef controller a few months ago that basically copied the Kessil controller, is 1/2 the price and doesn't require an external power supply.

      @mattreef3379 Před rokem

      I would go with the 100 watt if you have the budget, you can just run them on lower settings and you will get better spread. And you will never have to upgrade your lighting if you wanna keep hard corals in the future.

    There's much more to "light" than just par measurements, Corals do best when there's proper mixing of lights to create natural environment, that's why big brands charge so much.. they're using lenses and different color Led's to creat the natural light for reefs.. check out any reef tank on CZcams using big brand light vs cheap Amazon light and you'll see what I mean. Corals will have better spread and look healthier with proper lighting

    • @BCInnovate
      @BCInnovate  Před rokem +2

      I agree, but as many reefers are on a budget initially getting into the hobby is expensive. I didn't get paid for doing a review or anything in return from the company, but for the price of these lights my corals are doing great and these lights are over 2 years old.

    • @mylifeontour6664
      @mylifeontour6664 Před rokem

      You'll also see people spending 1000s on lights with all the bells and whistles and then only using the blue channel.... You're going to have a hard time convincing a lot of people that big brand lights somehow have a better version of blue.
