    Saša,
    oduševio si me i svojim radom i filozofijom, pa čak i sviranjem. Uživam u ovim videima o pravljenju gitara i baš mi je bilo drago vidjeti nekog sa naših prostora da se time bavi i to još i prezentira na youtube-u. Želim ti puno uspjeha u daljnjem radu. Veliki pozdrav iz Bosne!
    Oliver

    You do an amizing guitar, i believe it worth a lot of money, my $30 will not afford to bring this guitar home, so i will stop my dream to have a good guitar from now.

    This piece of wood should cost at least 20,000 euros when it's finished. The problem is that the young lady has to go into debt all her life because no one is interested in this kind of music today. The only chance that exists is that this piece of wood sounds so extraordinary that there is at least a slim chance of making at least some money to survive with it. Let us hope for the best for the young woman that she does not throw herself into ruin.

    • @outofthebiz
      @outofthebiz  Před 2 lety

      Your price estimate is high. The young woman is in no danger of being unable to obtain food because of the purchase. The guitar was purchased for her by an older man who loves her ... her father. It was worth every penny.

    @ 4.00 cutting the nut slot like that , by registering the headstock against the fence, is asking for trouble. Doesn't matter if you have been doing it this way for 50 years, it is still wrong.
    The correct method is to use a sled running in the miter slot of the tablesaw.

    • @bradleydaniels1800
      @bradleydaniels1800 Před 8 lety +2

      +murrmac He didn't register off the fence if you look closer. He has the neck held up off of the table by a spacer and uses the miter gauge to cut the slot. It's not wrong.

    Hi, Sasha:
    What determines whether high-tension or medium-tension strings are best for a particular guitar? And, also, why does one brand of string sound better than another on a particular guitar? In this regard, do you find you always use the same strings on guitars you make in the same style?

    • @outofthebiz
      @outofthebiz  Před 8 lety +1

      It was actually for my daughter. It was approximately $7500.00. When I heard the price, I couldn't believe it was so high. After I watched all the work that went into it, I couldn't believe it was so cheap.

    • @jesuisravi
      @jesuisravi Před 8 lety

      no doubt the luthier would agree with your second opinion. Still, it is certainly a nice instrument and, if your priorities and pocketbook warrant it, probably worth the expense.

    Hi Sasha. I was very impressed with your skills. When you finisshed making this guitar, did you have to worry about intonation at the 12th fret. If so, may I ask how you achieve this. Best wishes. Anthony.

    • @sasharadicic9417
      @sasharadicic9417 Před 8 lety

      Anthony, no I did not worry about intonation. I use Frisch fret spacing, a German engineer who invented that. The fretboard intonated this way is better than standard fret positioning, it is near perfect all the way down to 19 th fret.
      Best wishes to you too sir...

      My hand made guitars are for sale. I do not have any guitar ready for try out or for sale. Usually I am asked to make custom classical according to customer requirements. My classical start at US $ 7,000.- hard shell case included. Waiting time minimum 8 months,
      Best regards to you too sir!

    You really should put the luthier's name in the title or description....

    • @outofthebiz
      @outofthebiz  Před 6 lety

      It is in the search words. Without that you can't find the video, in any case. Think of how many people would know the luthier, not that many, when you compare it to how many people know guitars. This gives him the benefit of a larger universe who might find the video.

    if you make a guitar to the specs that the customer asks for, how can you be sure that the instrument will have the best sound? the customer is not a luthier so why would you let them dictate how to make a great sounding guitar?

    • @outofthebiz
      @outofthebiz  Před 8 lety

      +Jay M I am only the video maker, but since this guitar was actually made for my daughter I can say she only had input on the size of the fretboard and the appearance. There are only two choices of wood and both work well. Sasha has the ultimate say over the internal construction and sound. The customer's input is more cosmetic. Sometimes, Sasha comes here and answers questions. I hope he will elaborate.

    • @sasharadicic9417
      @sasharadicic9417 Před 8 lety +1

      You have to give customers what they are asking for! At least basic sound requirement! The rest of the sound is my trademark I would say. That is the area where every maker gets bit of selfish! :)
