- On July 1, 2024 the Fathers of Mercy hosted a Eucharistic Holy Hour as part of the southern states’ Eucharistic Pilgrimage taking place and leading up to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is the Homily that Fr. Wade Menezes, CPM preached at the Holy Hour.

The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in Green Bay, WI, and two rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

That blessed baby! I felt the father praying for the baby’s peace…. I don’t know why not? But God the Father knows… praise and glory to God, the Maker of the baby! The maker of all… we all cried once and still, and even Jesus’ tears with pain, and Mary’s tears of pain …. And Joseph tears when realizing what to take one to obey God knowing what the world will say and proclaim!!! Lord have mercy, have mercy on the cries, give milk, no shame, LIVING WATERS from the Eve’s breast, no shame. ❤

Good teaching ❤ Don’t stop, don’t be discouraged…. Jesus was discouraged away from HIS Father, but He stayed with HIS father despite the word.. may we learn from HIM. Our living God is worth more than any stick, stone, drop of water… our God of Abraham is worthy of more!
