Hey man, great video! I would recommend upgrading to a newer design on the actual LED chip, they seem to be COB LED which is great raw power but there is no control over the light pattern, meaning you might blind oncoming traffic. There are a bunch of videos comparing the different designs of the chips and they show how the light changes from LED to LED. There is no benefit of having tons of light without proper control
Any specific recommendations for bulbs?
I agree man, I used to have some LEDs in an old 2001 F350 I had and they were awful, very spotty and blinded people. These don't seem to do that though on the road. I'm going to try them out with some friends soon and see what they say. Any recommendations on newer 9006/9005 bulbs? Thanks for the feedback!
Thx for doing this video - I have 96 FZJ80 and need more light for driving (my wife’s Honda Pilot was just totaled from deer strike). So do you still like the LEDs for your headlights? Do they blind oncoming traffic? Thank you for including the links - but wanted to check on the bulbs - so I think 9006 are low beams and 9005 are for the high beams?
Honestly couldn't be happier with the headlights. They aren't blinding to oncoming traffic compared to LED's I've ran in the past on other vehicles. They are very bright as shown in the video. I think you are right on that, 9006 for lows, 9005 for highs.
Might have to install a set of these and blind some of the Biloxi drivers 😂
