I randomly had the thought that the entity screeching for 10 seconds exactly means you’re safe, but maybe like, a 12 second screech means you’re not safe. So while counting down the seconds you’ll be hoping you’re safe, only to realize you’re counting past 10, and by then you only have a second or so to run. That’d be terrifying.

What always looks off in these EAS scenarios, is that someone spent their time creating vivid illustrations to the situation instead of pushing textual warning as soon as possible. There's not time for that in an emergency
I mean the illustrations are so simple they could be made in like a few hours at most
I'm going to have to disagree with you. These could be chalked up to templates being modified to fit the situation, which could only take a few minutes (lore wise, anyways. I'm sure the actually creature took longer)

And if you just stay indoors and away from windows, you'll never have to worry about anomalies!
This was my first thought. Like get in a closet or a pantry or something. Any small windowless room. Why would that not be the first suggestion? Also like what if your curtains are shut? Can it see through things? This seems absurdly easy to avoid 😂
