Most people would never understand the joy and fulfillment of having ferrets as pets. One of the most moving experiences of my life was when I found one running loose, as thought it had escaped from it's owner. Tried, diligently, for some time, to find the owner and re-unite them, with no success. Sad story with a happy-ending because the little guy bumped into someone who sure learned to love and appreciate him. What a bond!
They're smart lil buggers. Maybe he purposely ran away from his previous owner. One of mine runs away, but always comes back after 6-8 hours

@Ryan Gagnon Most don't. But 1 of my 3 always come home, like a dog. I just lost 1 in June 2019.
@Ryan Gagnon Most ppl cage them, since they're caged at pet stores. I let them free roam 24/7, but you have to ferret proof your place first. Like sealing all holes in the wall, under cabinets in kitchen & bathroom, around stove & fridge. Be careful if have a lazy boy chair, as the reclining mechanism could hurt your narcoleptic kleptomaniacs.
Mine would stay on the snow like 1 min, then climb up my leg when their paws got cold.

I love my country, but I really, really wish it had been just a little further south. Few things are as miserable as long stretches of cold snow and sunless days. So much mental illness caused by these condition alone.

i used to let my ferret run around in the park behind my house sometimes and she would always start running the same way every time, so one time I just let her keep going and I followed her, and she ran all the way back around the park and the baseball field, through the backyard and right to the back door and wanted to go back inside. ferrets are smarter and maybe less interested in running away than you'd think :)
You can get a leash. :)
what about birds of prey coming down and snatching them up they are fast and you will not be able to stop them from grabbing your poor little ferret

I own four ferrets myself and we are terrified to let them outside in the snow! Mainly because we have cats that live outside that have no idea what these carpet sharks are lol your ferrets are beautiful and look amazing! I came here from your video when you got them and they are looking good!

My albino ferret had the same fur problems. Most of the fur from the tail fell out. The vet gave me an antibacterial bath for it. That didn't help. But it can also be due to all the artificial light of the humans. The ferrets seem to be more night and twilight active. With all the artificial light, they can no longer properly call up their winter/summer coat program.
You're so lucky ! Three Ferrets ! I've had 2 at different times. I think the white with black eyes are the best looking.

I had an albino named Rudy for almost nine years. I took him to the beach and to the snow like in this video. He loved it. But no matter where I took him, after a half hour or so he would make a beeline for the car and jump in as soon as I opened the door. I miss him so.

I used to have a pair of ferrets. I was too scared of possibly losing them to take them outside, so I filled a big plastic storage box with snow and brought it inside for them. They went nuts!!

Even after one of them escaped outside the fence, I'm amazed you trust them outside! I've been wanting to let mine outside, but one of them is always quick to run, so I'm too worried I'll lose her, even under supervision. 😅
If you still have them, try a leash! I think they make some for ferrets

I can't think of anything my ferret would like less than playing in the snow. He doesn't even like to go outside if its even 20c. But I live in Australia and he's used to warmer weather. Anything under 20c and all he wants to do is curl up in his blankets and sleep.

The snow I have here is huge. Reaching to my head already and piles of snow
Mine were such primadonnas. 1 footprint in the snow was all I got. Immediate stampede to warm sleep sacks, with warm Soupies in bed...wimps....

I would have put a brightly color harness on those ferrets so it would be easier to spot them agents the snow.
You should put little mittens on them so don't get frostbite on their paws!

I guess I’ll see how the ferrets I’ll adopt to the changing seasons here. I never, ever dreamed of taking them out in the snow- mostly because I’d never heard of anyone doing so. My mom had two and both were raised in very warm weather.

i dont let my ferret go outside by herself cuz i get scared if she gonna run off
You realize ferrets can get out of a harness in like thirty seconds tops ten seconds at least right
u realize ferrets will only do that if the harness doesnt fit or if its not tight enough right? because my baby dont get out of her harness and ur supposed to put it tight then put ur pinky through it and see if it fits comfortably
