I am wondering what happened with the 4 teens that hijacked the 73 year old woman's car. I followed this when it happened and it absolutely made me sick. Hope they were punished to the full extent of the law.
NoT yet.
Hope they're burning in hell already.
One of the suspects was deemed incompetent to stand trial. I don't know which one though.

I suppose if everyone walked down the street armed with an AK47 that would be the solution then. How else would a 71 year old grandmother be safe from teenage criminals under your reasoning? Of course, if they had AK47s too...
@@anthonyrader3466 the better reasoning would be that everyone be armed with a 9mm pistol. Or something smaller caliber but still a pistol. Why? Because everyone can carry one with very little difficulty.

You seem more than a little confused on the issue of crime.
Seven out of ten states with the highest per-capita rates of violent crime voted Republican in the 2020 election. In contrast, seven out of ten states with the lowest rates voted Democrat.
Murder is much more prevalent in red states than blue states. In 2020, homicide rates were a stunning 40 percent higher in the 25 states that former President Donald Trump won compared to the 25 won by current President Joe Biden. Of the 10 states with the highest 2020 per capita murder rates in America, eight of them not only voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, they voted Republican in every presidential election this century.
For example, Mississippi and Louisianna topped the charts with murder rates twice that of Illinois, three times California, and four times New York.
Why can't Kennedy simply admit the fact that the inbred, uneducated right are most prone to violent crime.
Absolutely love this guy. He is so "regular guy" and very much one of us rather than a politician.
I live across the lake from New Orleans and used to love going all the time but now I don't go unless I absolutely have to and I'm always armed to the teeth when I do. They will try and stop, or block you on the highway to carjack and kill you. Doesn't matter if it's day or night. What's gona end up happening is vigilante justice if they don't get this under control asap. And that has to start with getting rid of that pathetic excuse of a mayor they have. Latoya tha destroya
I'm not far , I'm on the MS Gulf Coast, it's only about an hour and a half away, we use to always go down there, always had a great time, but one night, I was going back to the hotel, it was voodoo fest, some guy jumped out a window at me as I passed by so before I turned around, I grabbed my lil amercian arms from between the girls, when I saw him, he was dressed as jason with what looked to be a bloody knife, arms went up, he stuttered, he said just trying scare you, but that was after I pulled my little shorty too , so who knows what he was up to. I told him that wasn't very smart to jump out at somebody at 2 am that you don't know, they could shoot your pickle off. I think there was a little leakage in front of his costume.
that is why they make sure to ruin the lives of all vigilantes; they want to make sure nothing interferes with their plan that is ultimately a plan to destroy the US.

Of course it does. Hes trying to dumb it down so people like you can understand. If you take the time to actually read the fourth amendment and the laws regarding detainment, you will see that he is purposely leaving parts out to bolster his position. He is manipulating you, the voter, into giving up more of your constitutional rights.
@@shawnupchurch998 As someone who's studied constitutional law... it's a bit more of a grey area because of the lack of a strict definition of probable cause and what is considered a reasonable search. Whenever a crime rate in an area gets above a certain level, and that crime happens to come from certain areas and.. dare I say it... certain groups of people... then if an officer runs into someone of those groups in those places, given the percentage of them commiting crimes, it becomes reasonable to assume that the person the officer comes accross is going to commit a crime..
You have to ask the question of how do you get this problem under control? One solution is making sure the populace is armed but what happens when a group of a fully armed populace resorts to turning those arms on eachother and innocent bystanders? I don't want to see the people's guns removed from them so you need another enforcing power to regulate these exchanges. If the criminal activity was self contained the problem would solve itself but there are innocents getting dragged in to the problem, so what's the solution?
And that word "sense" is missing in today's world!!!!
NYC under Giuliani did a massive campaign of stop and frisk, and it was highly effective at reducing the murder rate. It cut NYC's rate in half, which was the first time in history a large city had made such a rapid decrease in crime and murder.
It was also effective at creating massive resentment towards police and major bias against individuals of a particular type. Sure on the outside it looked pretty but I can tell you first hand it was a shit show , a facade , a police state. . Let it be known things like these don't just happen they let it happen so when all hell has broken loose for long enough and people can no longer tolerate it. They cry out for security and loose all there freedoms in the process

There is no place like South Louisiana to start, and most notably like New Orleans, but NOLA has endured horrible crimes. My father was born and raised in N.O. and I love the city. I remember it as the magical city it was. My great-grandparents owned a home on St Charles Ave. I remember knowing in the early 70's that if I went to NO and a cop said stop I should not move. I had no reason to run anyway, and so I felt protected by that fact. I believe other people would appreciate that concept again. New Orleans and Baton Rouge need to host free workshops on how to protect oneself. Whether a workshop is on how to shoot a gun properly, how to use a stun gun, or how to use mace or pepper spray, something needs to be done. As one who has lived in New Orleans, I can assure you of one thing: There will come a time when the residents begin to take things into their own hands. It is important for Louisiana to stop standing by idly, crossing its fingers and hoping nothing will happen to them.

I agree. I lived in Baton Rouge for more than 17 years. 'Loved it, and visited New Orleans three times with relatives and later with my husband. Very special place but very dangerous, even in the 70's. An older friend and Louisiana native told me that before and during WWII years, the streets of New Orleans were very safe. One could attend Mardi Gras balls without fear of attacks. The Old Southern and French Culture was still very much intact then. However, it didn't take long for that special city to deteriorate into a hell hole.

My family is native to New Orleans, and I’ve grown up, and lived my whole life just 45 minutes north of New Orleans, and while I always loved going there growing up, and it used to truly be a fun place to be, I do not go there anymore, unless I go to visit my grandmother, and when I go to see her I only go in to see her, and then I get out of the city as fast as I can. Any shopping I do for her, I get it from where I live, and then bring it down to her. We wish we could move her from there, but she does not want to leave, and we can’t force her. Bottom line is, locals feel the same way, and it’s truly sad because it used to be such an amazing place. It’s been ruined by these administrations who care more about criminals than the innocent citizens and visitors caught in the crosshairs of the violence.
Don’t visit any city right now. Biden administration has flooded every city and they are all dangerous. I live in the suburbs of Pittsburgh and I used to love going into Pittsburgh but now, in my opinion it’s stupidity to go there let alone pay for expensive events.
I have loved this man for long long time.
Criminals move a certain way when they're about to commit a crime. I have 24-hour surveillance around my home in a high crime area. I work from home and have a live feed on my desk. Any adult man I see on my monitor, wearing a hoody and backpack, while riding a bike, looks like a regular person to me. But when they start riding around in circles and appear to be checking things out, it's pretty obvious what they're up to. Those are the ones who end up looking over people's fences, checking for unlocked gates, and steal will things from porches and mail boxes. Car thieves have a certain look. Strangers trying to coax you out of your home have a certain look. Angry people looking for a fight have a certain look. I wish I could call the police on all of them, but sadly the police can only intervein if an actual crime has been committed.
Hope you are armed for safety!
WE LOVE YOUR SPEECHS AND YOU SEN. JOHN KENNEDY
Yeah, but they are just speeches. Talk is cheap
@Shelly Smith YES I agree TALK and no action
I do like the way he has laid things out. Very good detail on what contributes to this increase in crime.
Well there's a pretty big hint at why there was an increase in crime for one the upbringing is bad
So, what is increasing the crime? Not allowing stop and frisk?
It can start off slow. Anywhere . Crime.
If it's not curtailed, you know, with getting the riff raff OFF the streets and/ or away from hanging around, up to nothing good in the neighborhoods, or shopping areas,
It explodes fast.
Locals see it.
Kids on their way to school see it. Grandma or grandpa out shopping for bread and water see it

How awful! I listen to you, Senator Kennedy, because you are the only one speaking the truth. I would vote for you for the highest position in our country President of the United States of America. Unfortunately, I can not think of anyone else who is as qualified as you. Who truly cares about our country, and is unafraid to speak the truth. A true Patriot!!! Thank you for all you do to educate us what the facts are and for caring about the State of our Republic. God bless you and your family.
I left Chicago in 77 for pretty much the same reason, I moved to North Carolina as a Marine and have lived here ever since. I've deployed all over the world for two decades and this remains a "nice place to live" primarily because we are an armed society willing to bear arms everywhere because it's criminals that are the problem, not "places we live". Chicago was a brilliant vibrant city, but with no focus on crime, no will to reduce it. My whole family has left the cities and gone rural for precisely this reason. I miss some of the real value to be found in the cities of America, but I don't miss the violence. I wish our cities could be run by rational "leaders", unfortunately, the criminals vote as well as the "citizen". We've effectively voted ourselves violent cities.
Thank you for your service. Be sure to bring your family to Mount Airy. It still has that Mayberry charm and neighborly goodwill.
@@elizabethreid9448 My wife and I drove through NC to Tennessee four or five times a year to visit her family over the last thirty years and we really enjoyed Mt. Airy. She died a few years ago, and I'm looking forward to travelling again, I love western NC. Thanks!

If my state had a senator with 1/4 the sense of this guy, I'd be jumping for joy. Instead, I am forced to watch them never say a word as they stand in silence behind Chuck or Nancy.

2. Woodrow Wilson (Democrat)
Woodrow Wilson took Lincoln’s vision of subjugated states to a global level. In one year, Wilson did more to destroy whatever vestiges of a free republic that were left after Lincoln’s administration than any President since. That year was 1913. It was a year that should live in infamy. Woodrow Wilson saddled the American people with the following:
February 3, 1913
This is the date when the 16th Amendment was ratified, and the direct income tax and IRS were instituted. This was a flagrant repudiation of freedom principles. What began as a temporary measure to support the War of Northern Aggression became a permanent income revenue stream for an unconstitutional-and ever-growing-central government.
April 8, 1913
This is the date when the 17th Amendment was ratified. This amendment overturned the power of the State legislatures to elect their own senators and replaced it with a direct, popular vote. This was another serious blow against State sovereignty. The framers of the Constitution desired that the influence and power in Washington, D.C., be kept as close to the people and states as possible.
For example, the number of representatives in the House of Representatives was to be decided by a limited number of voters. In the original Constitution, the ratio of “People of the several States” deciding their House member could not exceed “one for every thirty Thousand.” (Article. I. Section. 2. Paragraph. 3.) And when it came to the U.S. Senate, the framers also recognized the authority of each State legislature to select its own senators, thereby keeping power and influence from aggregating in Washington, D.C.
The 17th Amendment seriously damaged the influence and power of the states by forcing them to elect their US senators by popular vote. The bigger the State, the less influence the State legislature has in determining its U.S. senator. Senators who answered to State legislators, each answering to a limited number of voters, were much more accountable to the “Citizens of the several States” than those who were elected by a large number (many times numbering into the millions) of people. For all intents and purposes (at least in the larger states), U.S. senators are more like “mini-Presidents” than representatives of sovereign states.
December 23, 1913
This is the date when the Federal Reserve Act was passed. This Act placed oversight of America’s financial matters into the hands of a cabal of private international bankers, who have completely destroyed the constitutional principles of sound money and (for the most part) free enterprise. No longer would the marketplace (private consumption, thrift, growth, etc.) be the determinant of the U.S. economy (which is what freedom is all about), but now a private, unaccountable international banking cartel would have total power and authority to micromanage (for their own private, parochial purposes) America’s financial sector. Virtually every recession, depression and downturn has been the direct result of the Fed’s manipulation of the markets.
1913 was not a good year for the United States. And Woodrow Wilson was our second worst President.
Kennedy always holds my attention. Sounds like he has a very good legal mind.
And wise too!
Make a great Attorney General.

The city like any other is DESIGNED to hold certain groups back through a process of red lining black and brown and poor whites to certain areas. These areas are working as intended. Im not going to discus red lining because you can investigate the process yourself use youtube. The best examaple would be Katrina. Many of the homes 2023 their are still destroyed where are those home is RED LINED AREAS. Its a joke and this man knows it. He is here out his his racism. "The City of New Orleans" is iconic. Yes indeed, for many of the wrong reasons.
We took a bus from Baton Rouge to New Orleans because we were advised not to try riding out bikes into the city. The bus driver noticed a young man had a weapon tucked into his waist band. The bus driver told him to get off the bus and would not let him back in. He probably took his life in his hands by doing so.

Yea, he’s rarely this serious… I love it
Mandatory 10 stop and Frisks a day /per officer per shift should get New Orleans cleaned up
@@bullbutter9699 That would probably require "Hunches".
Until these DA's and judges are held accountable for not prosecuting these cases and giving maximum sentences, we'll never get control. I might add, our so called president has to be held accountable for not prosecuting illegal border crossings. When criminals know that there is little to no chance of prosecution it makes crime very profitable.
One thinks of the movie The Star Chamber .
Completely agree
Agree!
I love listening to Sen Kennedy. I think he's right on Stop and Frisk.
Any state or city that DOES NOT have TWO police officers in a car DOES not have the police officer's safety at heart. In my home town Chandler, Az, said there's no place for another officer to sit. There is so much equipment in the front set, Computer, keyboard, and radios. You see, the public citizens don't have the right to monitor the police calls or know what crime is in our city.
Kennedy is always a pleasure to listen to, regardless of the topic. This man could recite the dictionary and somehow make it interesting and entertaining.
He’s like the Mark Twain of politics!😂
He's upset at crime? they have too many guns....blue states are safer. This is only karma. Karma is absolute.
@@cpamfly6858 Guns don't commit crimes. Knives don't commit crimes. Those are just tools that each have a purpose. People commit crimes, we need to be doing things to address that.
@@Milamber5186 I'm sympathetic to that argument. But given the frail nature of people, for instance, understanding that even good people can have a really bad emotional episode, I think that guns represent a grave danger. I am very disciplined in my emotions. But I also see how much resolve it takes to never-ever-but-never violate how a firearm should be treated. You see that movie Rust? They had professionals who erred. So it is very easy for mistakes to occur for various reasons. Then, I see how many innocent people have died from murdering sprees. I think it is wrong to place my freedom above the life of others. The right wing glorifies violence. Elected congressmen replaced the flag on their lapel with a mini AR 15? Maybe if Trumpists could be disciplined with their mouths the culture could change for all of us. But on these very pages Trumpists say things like "I'm heating up my barrel", to threaten those who disagree with them. The gun has become the defense of those who name call democrats every vile thing they can imagine. They get angry, they talk about their guns, and then they feel so justified that they don't have to concede that anyone else matters. While you figure out how to stop the crazies, more of us just die. No. We won't wait for you any longer. I will vote to have the guns taken. Banks don't self regulate, neither should gun owners.
Yeah his southern accent is nice, but what the hell is he doing to get the ar15 off the street and save our children. NOTHING

Agree that it is needed. Also need a law minded mayor and and a DA that prosecutes and gets results.
@@cliffieanderson5731 I believe that everywhere have its own unique circumstances that this policy may be effective, but in order for this to be effective you need to also have in place a mechanism that punishes the abuse or biased application of this policy unjustly to the maximum extent possible. When I put on a uniform in the military I understood the higher standard of accountability. If you want trust you have to get rid of the corruption everywhere and not where its convenient.
Kennedy is endorsing a repudiation of the 4th amendment by endorsing ' stop and frisk'. That is NOT a solution! How many of you lawyers and others who work in law are going to tolerate being stopped and frisked randomly without cause? I think you know the answer. You won't, and the cops will leave you alone too. It's not for you guys! It's not just for criminals, or suspected criminals either. It's for the ' great unwashed ', the common man who has no power or connections. We are tired of this! Both political parties are garbage. Kennedy often sounds like he is speaking good things. Let's not be fooled again by taking everything he says as absolute truth. He's being exposed here, like Sheriffs Judd in Florida and Arpaio in Arizona. It doesn't entirely surprise me that Republicans are disregarding the Bill of Rights. Look at the Republicans who endorsed red flag laws and voted for that ridiculous spending bill. Stop and frisk will not work in constitutional carry states, if a cop suspects someone is carrying concealed, if that's his only reason for stopping someone. Kennedy contradicted himself at least twice in this speech. He hasn't clarified anything, but has muddied our perception and what we do know to be true. This is outrageous. I can only hope Tucker Carlson brings this to the country's attention.
also a priority is to hire and train many more police officers and get busy enforcing the law for the ones of us who want safety.
