- Yeah, turns out I had more! I have 3 more tapes to show off. The video I'm gonna be showing off over the next 2 weeks has 4 rather short recordings instead of one long one... This'll be good. What we have first is the ending of a documentary on the DeLorean (The Back to the Future fan in me be damned), we have about 32 minutes of Boomerang from 2004... Incomplete Top Cat and Incomplete Garfield and Friends. Super!
And can I just say I love that Telewest Broadband advert? It has the best ending ever!

I miss this era of Boomerang so much. This was my childhood (as was Top Cat!)
1:25 Klunk is voiced here by Jeff Bergman and Don Messick (archive recordings). Compare to Bergman's portrayals of Sylvester the Cat (especially when he says, "Start... flap-flap-flap-flap like a bird!" at 1:25) and the Tasmanian Devil (especially when he says, "And now for more!" at 1:30).

2:30 Frank Welker filled in for Lorenzo Music on Garfield and Friends (1988) when he was ill, but when Music came back, he re-recorded most of Garfield's lines, so Welker's full track for Garfield and Friends was never heard, except for two lines. In this 2004 bumper, Garfield was voiced by Jeff Bergman. His portrayal of the character not only sounds similar to his portrayals of Droopy Dog and Donald Trump, but also sounds similar to Welker's, which made me previously think that the latter voiced him, but there is another reason why: when I was watching the Tiny Toon Adventures (1990) episode The Looney Beginning (1990), in one scene after Buster Bunny and Babs Bunny kiss the animator (voiced by Welker), he says, "When they start jumping off the paper and kissing ya, it's time to call it quits! Oh, who was I kidding anyway? I can never come up with a cartoon show by tomorrow morning." It was when he begins to say that line that made me think that Welker was the person who provided the voice of Garfield for this bumper, but it is not him, and this was long before Welker began voicing the character regularly, beginning with Garfield Gets Real (2007).

All we need now is the one more "And Now for More Bumper", and two more "There's more after this bumpers uploaded to CZcams, then we've got the whole set.

2:28 wow, Jeff Bergman makes for a surprisingly good garfield

There’s More After This.
(Hiccups)
Garfield and friends
Top Cat Ended
I doing more this next Friday
I have at least one video releasing on every Friday for the next two months, so yes. Nothing from Boomerang however. Currently, this is the last Boomerang related video I have
Upload what today?
What's the Daffy head seen at 4:33?
It was a Sky Digital thing. You press the red button on your TV remote, you can play a game or look at something interactive. I think the Daffy thing relates to Duck Dodgers...
@@Gondarth i remember that. it took you to a shooter or platformer in the top view
Ah... Garfield, one of cartoons greatest moments in history. I adore Garfield and Friends since my Grandpa got me into it. It also looks like Pokemon played at its original speed over there too.
Indeed, cartoons generally run slightly faster over here compared to America. That's the beauty of the PAL format :D
LooneyCartoonMan2003 over here in the UK, I don’t think we got Garfield in the papers
Whats The name of the show at 0:22
Andrei Patrascu That's Top Cat, a popular cartoon from the 70s and I think 80s
Gondarth Thanks!
1960's*
@@Gondarth The 1960's.
2:30 Is it the specials, Garfield and Friends or both?
It was Garfield and Friends in this recording
@@Gondarth Sort of called it.
I think early 2005 would be more accurate seen toonami did got rebranded during that time I think and boomerang also first rebrand to this on September 2004.
I wasn't super sure on the exact date. I think the only reason I said "Early 2004" is because I had a car documentary on the tape that was recorded in 04, and it seems like it taped over bits of Boomerang.
@@Gondarth oh
Do you have any Boom UK recordings with sitting ducks or danger mouse?
Never watched Sitting Ducks, and I don't think Danger Mouse aired much at this point...
ok
You're not postponing the Nick Jr you had planned for around this time, are you? I was really looking forward to adding another Wiggly Park episode to my collection.. (I have 4 of 26 - it's very hard to come by!)
No, the Nick Jr video will be uploaded in September. Everything in this series is being posted in a first come first served basis
ok
Many thanks for clarifying :)
They showed ACTUAL Garfield before?
They did indeed. It was rather good
4:21 Stuffing your face as usual.
I gotta have a good meal
Was this on sky
Indeed it was.
Can you please fix the uncut tape link it’s telling me to request access
2:29 Why's Garfield sound like Donald Trump?
That's an insult to Garfield, buddy
Garfield was voiced here by Jeff Bergman, due to Lorenzo Music's death in 2001. Bergman's portrayal of Garfield "sounds like Donald Trump" because is slightly deeper than Music's portrayal of the character and sounds like his later portrayal of Trump in Our Cartoon President (2018).
@@omanimoves6312 Wow, didn't even notice it was Frank. Thanks for the info.
@@My_Legs_Hurt You are welcome.
